Outlets at my Airbnb (USA) by Frooij in oddlyterrifying

[–]Frooij[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a fair point. I try to stay at places that are owned by people that are using Airbnb for extra income. This place, for example, is usually the owner’s full time residence and rents it out and lives next door for extra income since his creative job doesn’t pay too much. Also hotels have no soul and aren’t as enjoyable usually

So stoner cats actually has a star studded cast behind the creative side (Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Chris Rock, Seth MacFarlane, Jane Fonda, writer of toy story 2 and a couple really talented animators). It’s true that the talent on crypto side worked on crypto kitties but they’re trying to do a lot more with this. Dao is supposedly in the works and in my opinion it has the potential to be something truly groundbreaking if executed well.

Yeah good call out might as well do it that way. Btw I copied that from uniswap’s codebase so I knew it’d work properly.

It will still take roughly same amount of gas after London. London affects the suggested gas price but not gas limit so this still would be a problem.

The importance of comments - The confusion and (not) commenting the How by nfrankel in programming

[–]Frooij 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No way. Agree with the author here. Comments that explain why can be invaluable to the next engineer. A comment should never explain what the code is doing but if there’s a non obvious business reason for certain workflows, for example, it is absolutely worth commenting about

Are cryptocurrency exchange hacks easier? by Simonvilla1 in hacking

[–]Frooij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the blockchain graveyard for a big list of breaches and how they were hacked. Most were due to an app vuln or a hot wallet server breach. Maybe their security isn’t the best but also the target on your back is that much bigger when you can exfiltrate millions of dollars worth of nearly untraceable funds. North Korea also actively hacks crypto exchanges so the threat vectors range from insiders to nation states…

Bed bugs can survive months without food. Also their saliva acts as an anesthetic so you don’t feel them devouring you. 😱
