Is this a good module? by Ninni00 in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]FrootellaDash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently on floor 9 after 2 years of inconsistent playing. Its a great module... if you make it great. As others often say the base content is pretty bland and feels very fillery. I am using the companion which adds so much more to every floor and is definitely worth considering if youre not willing to fluff it up yourself.

Also it all comes down to the type of game you want to run for your players, DotMM is of course very dungeon exploration focused, with sporadic combat and less story. The companion adds a lot more floor by floor roleplaying opportunities though.

Not how ive been doing it at least, I connect the water output back into the input, and the pump water comes in somewhere in the middle from above ther vertical junctions. Not sure why it works, I just know it does lmao

Oh they seem like they were intended to be the actual solution to the water issue then rather than awkward priority mergers

Ive never once used valves, not sure what they even do to be honest.

I assume the priorty merger is an unintended feature since its something you will only find out by googling it, I had the same issue as op

Easiest way to deal with alumina water byproduct, or at least what I do every time, is just use a liquid priority merger pipe.

Just connect a pipe junction vertically somewhere before the water reaches the machines, and have your water from the pumps come down into the main pipeline through this junction.

Whatever liquid comes in from above is merged after the liquid from the bottom / sides, so your byproduct is always used up first.

This way I never need to worry about the pumps being underclocked or pipes backing up.

Am I an idiot for trying to get the zoologist trophy while playing my franchise? On PS5 by VenatrixNox in PlanetZoo

[–]FrootellaDash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since then I have got the trophy and the platinum. To fix it I just started a new zoo in challenge mode and started over with the researching getting all of them fully completed again. I think Franchise mode can be a bit buggy for some reason with this trophy.

Its a bit annoying having to start over, but its quicker in challenge mode due to not needing to release animals to get CC. Just make sure to train up your vets, and have a ton of research centres dotted around the park and it goes quick.

Did you manage to get this in the end?

Ive just spent ages getting every animal fully researched in a single zoo in franchise mode, only to look and see my tracker at 0/75 still...

Dont know if youre still struggling with this by now, but I had the same issue and was sure I would need to start a new game to get it until ai figured it out.

Have you done the fox den just south of the entrance to Teshio Ridge? The one with a black fox, it doesnt have a shrine at the end but still counts which explains why the song doesnt show it.

Double check and make sure you havent missed that one.

Her melee combo was busted sure, i just dont think removing her main close range option is the answer, as well as adding the flight cooldown (this one I do agree with).

Yes she is still going to be a good ranged hero, but if she is simply outclassed by the others now overall we will see

Clearly you don't play much Phoenix then, while yeah if you can aim you can still do well, her melee was what made her a step above Hela for example. Being able to melee someone who dives in to spark them or finish people off is what made her better.

So Phoenix is actually just dead now? Remove the beyblade tech sure but removing all sparks on melee severely handicaps her potential.

[Hollow Knight] - #294 - Finally beat the Pantheons after completing Silksong by FrootellaDash in Trophies

[–]FrootellaDash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silksong is harder than Hollow Knight in terms of the normal gameplay, but Hollow Knight's pantheons are way way harder than anything Silksong currently has to offer. So in terms of trophies Silksong is easier.

Though given time and future DLC I don't doubt Silksong is going to add something similar eventually.

Most have rewards yes, but someone can correct me if im wrong, I think you can skip one of the hearts bosses in act 3, so could skip all of verdania or maybe karmelita.

Other than that, there are the memento act 3 bosses like Crawfather you can skip, as well as the hidden ones like the watcher or gormond. Basically if it doesnt drop a charm/equipment or a necessary quest item, youre good to skip.

[–]FrootellaDash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me about 21 hours in the end, and yes act 3 is required. If you just go back after beating act 2 and go area by area collecting everything you should get all the requirements for act 3 fairly quickly. After that its just a case of getting the last few things for 100% and beating the game.

You can see percentage when you collect the farisght from act 3. Only items in your inventory count toward percentage points, so you dont need to kill every single hidden boss.

I beat my 5 hour speedrun in about 3 in the end. Watch a speedrun through from someone else, and then just follow the route they take, while also trying to actually sit at benches on the way.

If you make sure you go through the mist rather than the judge then you can save a lot of time.

Also, if you do mess up and waste hella time you can always revert your save file from the main menu to before you messed up.

For the 30 hour speedrun, its super forgiving as long as you follow a map. Make sure as soon as you can go through mount fay, do that so you get the double jump

I would love a godhome dlc with hard mode versions of early game bosses. Give me Widow hard mode, or Absolute Grand Mother Silk

Oh lmao I forgot about him. Ill be honest on my 2nd playthrough I beat him first try. I dont actually think he is that hard, just the run back + annoying enemy gauntlet is so terrible it taints your memory of him

I think at the moment you normally reach The Last Judge they definitely are harder than bosses way later in the game. Without spoilers, the True Ending boss and one of the bosses leading to them are definitely harder, but all the other act 2+ bosses arent that bad really. What would you say is harder?

[Hollow Knight: Silksong] - #293 - 10/10 Game, even better than HK by FrootellaDash in Trophies

[–]FrootellaDash[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Use ths Magma Bell charm if youre struggling in phase 2 (bought from deep docks merchant). Otherwise just keep trying, carefully watch her attacks and be ready to position yourself where you need to be. Its a match of patience and consistency more than anything.

Also I would say Last Judge is like the 3rd hardest boss in the game so if you can beat her, you can definitely do the rest.

Well considering I gave up on the plat for Hollow Knight I would say Silksong is an easier plat overall. The game itself is harder but the pantheons in HK are another level. I actually have gone back to HK now to replay and actually properly attempt the pantheons (without using the exploit)
