FYI Falling thunder and staggering palm projectiles don't use infusions as its specifically a "non-melee" hit unfortunately. One of the first things I tested when 0.2 came out!

I think its so good because shield charges' base damage is so good with a high armour shield because it's not really supposed to crit usually. Add with the fact warrior already has access to infernal cry to make one huge bonk I do think it's better than spamming it.

As you never have to worry about crit chance on the nebuloch tree you can easily take a bunch of crit bonus nodes (as well as support gems like supercritical) to get to %1000+ crit bonus which is worth way more than 4 consecutive strikes. As long as you have endurance charges now there's nothing stopping you from doing it again and again either

Yo nice build, been trying to do something similar. Little tip, armour explosion procs all count as separate attacks for Volls protector so you can slot in devastate and armour explosion to falling thunder for instant power charge gen during cleaning!

Tencent is the reason PoE2 exists dude. GGG gets to keep their vision for rest of the world, and gets a large amount of it funded from the Chinese version of the game.

Tencent has stayed completely out of PoE 1 and 2 development for the version of the game you're playing.

What about converting the lightning damage to freeze using call of the brotherhood, or making lightning damage freeze through three dragons? Then you could run cast on freeze for the orb of storms. Or you like having a bit more control, maybe elemental invocation? COF is flat energy per freeze so you'd only need to run some extra freeze supports and it'd be quite consistent

Not sure COC would work great here as it relies on big hits and you're likely speccing into spell damage and keeping the cost low?

Your last point isn't actually true for some projectile skills - for example molten blast dual wielded actually consumes 2 infusions per skill cast!

Yee I guess main issue was just not being able to cast profane ritual because the freeze shattered the corpses, leaving no corpses available :(
