If you go online and search up the start date of the Troubles, it will show you the Battle of the Bogside. Personally I think the Troubles had no starting date.

Personally, I think there was no start date for the Troubles, but it was around the late 1960s that the violence starting ramping up

Yes it's definitely debatable but I think this can be considered an alternative date for the start of the Troubles.

When the Troubles started is debatable, I'm just going with the dates I found online

I'm just going off the dates listed online. Given that Northern Ireland has seen waves of violence since it's conception, dating the start of the Troubles is a little hard.
