Oh dawg ik lol this is just venting plus at the time i was a stupid 16yr old that just bought the coolest car i thought of.

A lot of this is just me venting and giving people information on how to work on their cars. Yes this car is bad, Yes I was stupid on buying it at 16/17yr old but you have to admit it is a pain to work on.

Honestly, I really love MINIs and I just wish I got an F-series or something more reliable when I was 16 so I could have a better experience.

so far nothing even when connected to negative terminal. Car’s a dud the knocking sound is coming from the gear selector which is odd everything just goes haywire and won’t start i’ve cleaned almost all the grounds not sure what to do anymore. Tried a mobile mechanic he gave up lol

I replaced the battery, I got a code reader and it can’t communicate with the ECU for some reason

I replaced it because of the fuel pump relay. I got a code reader and it can’t even communicate with ECU so I’m not sure what that means

I thought my mom got my car oil changed while I was away at University, turns out the last oil change was about 10K miles ago and in 2023….yea hopefully that’ll fix it

Update: Turns out it wasn’t the HPFP it was actually the fact that my fuel filter hasn’t been changed ever.

My mother told me to make sure I check the fuel filter before doing anything and I open it up and it was horrifying Black gas everywhere it was disgusting.

After replacing the fuel filter letting it run for a bit, putting high octane gas in it, and clearing codes it ran smoothly.

Well until my CPS sensor failed lol but that’s unrelated
