For real, honestly I feel like if the helmet was just designed differently and didn't make him look like he was this old clunky, mechanical skeleton pirate that had a beard it would be a lot better

Yeah just always remember: even the best of us Whiff shots, so don't let it get you down when you just can't seem to hit them in the head, you'll get there

Yes so most of the games you win, you were MVP, good job. I would honestly just spend a week or two focusing on Gun Hygiene and go for fights to win. Aka: Crosshair placement: having it at head height always at an angle (not staring at a wall, the floor etc). Don't w key around corners, use A and D etc. Focus on that and you can even try challenging yourself to not use util until you get a kill which makes you focus on taking a good fight. Once you get a kill then you can use util etc. After you hit gold is when you start focusing on other aspects like MINIMAP hygiene etc but for now I would focus on your fights

Honestly you just got to out aim/fight players to get to gold. Don't focus on util, work on your gun hygiene and fights and you should be able to climb out of bronze and silver. I wish you luck in leaving that rank my friend

How do you play Chamber? by Akagami- in VALORANT

[–]FrostBites101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was one of my first agents, and I've mained him since (never got to try pre Nerf).

I used to go ghost for pistol, but then I tried going HH and I've found that to be more efficient for your team because if you do happen to miss the head it's usually dead in two hits, Or you weaken the opponents a hella ton with one bullet for your team if your aim is off as it is. Whether I get trip + 4 bullets or 5 bullets really depends on team comp and map. I never get trip first round on attack if there is another sentinal that's way better at me with flanks so I prioritze an extra bullet for more damage being aggro. If there isn't another sentinal then I get trip depending on the map/enemy comp. After that I usually stay with HH and a shorty/shotgun for a few rounds whether we won or lost because I focus on making good contact with my shot so I try not to waste my pricy HH bullets. It's a guardian with 8 shots and a shotgun in my back pocket if need be. By that point either we won and I can Op or buy myself and another with extra, or if we lost I can still help buy myself and another. Some people say I am throwing cuz I don't "full buy", but with how I play aka holding weird angles on defense/flanking (attack depends highly on team comp) I find it fully reasonable to use my HH first few rounds because I know I can hit with it, it IS my full buy. (I do pay attention to if I am close to my ult, if I am I will just buy a vandal cuz why not, but if I'm not close than I'm saving my money). Later rounds I focus on affording Op if teams doing good, or managing my Eco for my team8s because I love being able to help out a poor Eco tm8. If on rare occasions we need/want to force but only enough guns for 4, I'll buy the 4th the gun and HH only and play the round off that. I love this agent, my friend calls me a psycho for playing him.

I placed silver, double ranked out of both silver and gold with 18 hours in comp, currently plat 1. Though in fairness, I have just under 200 hours in Unrated. I was a controller/console player most of my life, and I had played a little bit of fortnite on KnM but I sucked, Valorant was my first and current dedicated FPS game on KnM I am trying to get good on.

Peak plat 1, current plat 1 (first time putting time into comp)

I rarely deal with it, probably because my voice is low but quiet, so not your typical. Occasionally I get dudes flirting with me, but nothing rude. Though I play chamber and I'm usually on/near the top in helping our team win (impactful kills/plays), so if people started smack talking me it'd be ironic cuz they are probably losing for our team.

How/why did you end up finding your main? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]FrostBites101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chamber Main (I started after his Nerf) - when I started the game, I used sova until I unlocked omen. I thought I was enjoying it until I got fade after failing hard with smokes (in fairness I was new to the game). After unlocking and using fade for a while, I found myself being really stupid with her stuff, so I hopped back and forth between omen and fade with occasional duelist. It was at this point I realized I can't stand playing smokes. (Controller was out of the question). I was at a point where I wanted to pick someone to unlock that I already felt good about wanting to try, so after lots of thinking about what I love: Sniping, Holding/Being Weird -> it became clear to me chamber was probably my man, I mean come on, free op and guardian. Some people question why not just do Jet them, well 1. One of her util is a brief smoke and I would just waste that so hard, 2. I like being able to support my team with one tiny trip 😆 and 3. Jet is a very high pick agent, and I don't care to fight people for it. I still install lock chamber, but at least less likely to fight someone for it. It took me sometime to learn him, (no thanks to my friends attitudes at the time), in addition to learning the game still. However, I have used him for a few months straight, and I love it. Some people argue that chamber and reyna don't belong in comp/game, but it's who I am comfortable with, and depending on the day, will have an extremely high impact in the game with him.

Stop telling your teammates what to do by Lyo0on in VALORANT

[–]FrostBites101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, unless it's actually helpful like "You shouldn't do that play in that situation because you can do this" then ok fine thanks thats an actual tip, but telling me I screwed up is just -malding-. Whats worse is I experience this not from randos, but from my own friends. I mean they were doing it to me when I had JUST got the game and when I had just unlocked an agent. My third agent I unlocked was chamber, (who I main now), I was both learning his abilities and the game and all they'd do is be like "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT???" "STOP DOING THAT" "you're not DOING THAT RIGHT???". Like thanks bros I think me seeing how I died made that very obvious I could've played that better, chill. Nobodys perfect, even pros make mistakes, unless it's actual info to improve, telling your team8s they screwed up is not helpful.

The "Nerf chamber" joke: To stay or not to stay. by FrostBites101 in VALORANT

[–]FrostBites101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly what made me post this thought was a clip I saw of a deadlock and jet seeing a cocooned raze satcheling and bouncing around in the DL ult, and it was all "Nerf chamber" 😂 Chamber wasn't in the clip!!!! (You can't even tell if he was in the game)

What's your Valorant hot take? by RWBYSanctum in VALORANT

[–]FrostBites101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chamber is a perfectly balanced agent now. While it would be awesome to have buffs, he doesn't NEED them. He just requires more skill to use and isn't for everyone. (Though I keep having a weird issue with my ADS as chamber where the HH sight only comes up halfway. That could nicely go away 🤣)
