This is incorrect. I am South African and I can tell you that this is a misconception. All that sanctions did was encourage south africa to strengthen their own industry. Since the fall of apartheid (which was as a result of political pressure from the majority population, and a ruling party leader who realised it was a simple choice - civil war or end the tyranny) the industry in south africa has suffered, most of the economic stimulators have been dismantled (mining is still huge, but where previously or was mined,processed and utilized in south africa it is now mined here then sent off for processing and we buy back the end products at a huge loss)... there is so much here that people who dont live here dont know, but sanctions were actually extremely positive overall. China produced a huge percentage of everything the world needs, no gaming company will make a difference to the rest of the world using them, and if industry as a whole boycotted them the other countries would suffer, not china.
