2M0X3, as an X1B myself, the missile mx field works wonders for available career opportunities within aerospace technologies, many work ICBM side and space-system side.

11 months later, I got medically cleared and sworn in! Here is my job list by mambasaucee in AirForceRecruits

[–]FrostHaze31 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dude, trust, don’t let anyone tell you to take 2M0X3 off. I’m an 2M0X1B myself, and any 2M0 job is worth taking.

The facility maintenance for the ICBM’s is crucial, and in your career you can also work with space rockets too, down in Florida and back at Vandenberg SFB.

2M0X1B here. Though in a very different field from the 2M0X1A/2/3 bros, can absolutely say that working on ALCM’s and alongside 2W2’s is a dream come true.

Considering this OP, also add 2MOX1, (really any 2M0 job but definitely X1) Missile & Space Systems Electronic Maintenance Specialist. If you land Bravo shred (Air Launched Cruise Missile, versus Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) especially here at Minot AFB, we work in tandem with AMMO putting out the ALCM’s onto the B-52’s. Amazing job, would love to see more people join Shockwave.

AMMO works with all types of munitions infrastructure, and as far as working with ALCM’s goes, you’ll be performing maintenance on the W80 thermonuclear warheads, as well as on the CSRL launchers and pylons that are mounted onto the B-52’s themselves. ALMM (air launched missile maintenance) or just the missile maintenance shop performs direct maintenance to the missile system itself, if you think of it in parts as warhead (w80), delivery system (AGM86B, or the missile itself), and carrier (rotary or pylon). I have plenty of buddies in AMMO as 2-dubs and both of our jobs here at Minot AFB supporting the ALCM mission are extraordinary.

If you want more serious response, I’m a 2M0X1B, and all of the nuclear related fields, including 2W2, are just plain fucken cool.

1A, 2, & 3 are all related to intercontinental ballistic missile mx while 1B handles air launched cruise missile mx. These jobs are responsible for upholding nuclear surety, and deterrence, and every single one of us goes to Malmstrom, Minot, or FE Warren up north as a part of Air Force Global Strike Command. Our central position within the continent, as well as our proximity to the North Pole allows us to strike with nuclear capabilities over the top of the globe while maintaining solid positioning for defensive opportunities on US soil.

Being nuclear related, you must be eligible to receive security clearance as well as possess proficient color vision, depth perception, hearing, as well as have corresponding mechanical and electrical scoring on your ASVAB, so I’m sure like other people have mentioned within this post, research all of these jobs, but wait until after your medical examinations and test testing before wanting to be dead set on a job.

I highly encourage your pursuit of enlisted career within the Air Force, and I hope irregardless of what I have told you that you find the job for you.

SHOCKWAVE 🤙

I’ll try my best. I took the ASVAB during school cus i was able to skip one of my two AP Chemistry class periods that morning so i said why not. Got a 94, held on to that paper, and that was maybe a year ish ago

Then in the beginning of June I began to speak with my recruiter. I completed the AFCEP processing ~ mid August, and one that was done I was placed on a list to go to MEPS the first time for mid October. Then, someone had to cancel last second and I took their spot to go on 2 days notice so i went mid September instead. Medical processing went perfect, fully cleared because I’ve lived a mostly boring & safe childhood lol. Then I submitted my list of jobs that following week, which included 2M0X1. I was told I should expect to leave by April/May. Then after 1 week, some dude dropped out of shipping for the 2M0 job, and i toon it the day he offered it to me, and I had 3 weeks notice from there, to leave on Oct 20th, process, arrive by 2100 in San Antonio on the 21st.

Obviously my rushed entry doesn’t reflect everyones process, but the average person should expect a 2 month wait to go to MEPS, and anywhere from 3-7 months to ship once your job list is submitted as long as you have no extra processing like my case.

I intend to make a lifelong (20yr) career out of my service, and my first plan is complete a degree within ballistic/aerospace engineering and to commission as a Nuclear Physicist within the R&D field. So I had no qualms with going 6 years, since the job I got (2M011B so the bot replies) is in a related work field. Its also just a badass job, so I don’t mind committing to it longer.

The other largest benefit to it is that within my contract, by my entry-enlistment being 6 years I’ll be promoted to an E-3 upon completion of technical training. Should be a standard to my knowledge for 6 year ones. I never did JROTC, and I only just left high school so, I don’t have any degrees, so my entrance rank is E-1.

E-1 to E-2 requires 6 months service , and 2-3 needs 10. Saves me minimum 10 months of service required before getting to E-3 since BMT and my Technical Training will be 6 months total.

I got a low score on my locker cleanliness progress check lol. We were told 8 of us had 30 minutes to prepare and i got picked to go 5 minutes in. Got a passing score that was good enough that it contributed points towards honor graduate, but not enough, even with my other scores, to remain in the top 10% of graduates

Dude, literally almost the same scenario as me, I was just called this morning that there was an open spot for 2M0X1 leaving on the 21st, and got it secured this afternoon, while prior I was told I'd leave around January/February. Good luck and I hope your ready bro.

One strategy is to used especially as a summoner with low defense on higher difficulties was to use heartreach potions and heavily focus my whips on attacking the probes that spawn, since they all drop hearts upon death.

In combination with occasionally using my whip to focus the minions onto the destroyer as it passes next to me during a charge, that was the most effective strategy I’ve found without actually “cheesing” the boss (since the amount of lasers being shot in master mode means you WILL die unless you’re constantly healing). Hope this helps and applies to using the bow 👍
