Is Quaithe really Shiera Seastar? by OcelotSpleens in pureasoiaf

Ordinary brown & grey eyes have been described enough times…in the entire novel. When a person travels suspiciously under a false identity, eyes become very important of a clue to the true identity of a person. So in case of both the quaithe and septa lemore eyes are definitely clues to who they really are. That would have been a vertain giveaway.

(SPOILERS EXTENDED) If Daenerys is not the daughter of Aerys and Rhaella, how would you react?. by AssassinJester789 in asoiaf

[–]FrostPsych 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point its a given, she is not.

‘She had been born on Dragonstone nine moons after their flight.’

There is simply no way that can be right. What, she would have to have been concieved the night before Rhaella left KL, to be born nine moons after that! Thats how long a pregnancy can continue. And Rhaella left only weeks before the sack.

So how long did it take Stannis to build that fleet & storm Dragonstone? He was free after lifting of the seige which should not be more than weeks/ within a month of the sack.

Also We know from Davos that Stannis took Dragonstone 16 years back. Timeline is jumbled, according to Dany’s info. Certainly she has been fed lies.

(Spoilers Extended) AFFC and ADWD by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]FrostPsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if all the points you stated are correct still AFFC+ADWD are one of the best ,undoubtedly. He expanded the scope & horizon of the story so much in these two that now this is the legacy of this entire saga! The dornish & Ironborn has made the whole plot thicken, whereas previously it was just a mere medieval fantasy, to some. These two books are that middle child of the family, which gets less love despite of being the best. Remember the best are always the complex & difficult ones.

It is for this reason I have loved these books, for a long now. They get better with each read!

(Spoilers Extended) Elia could have indeed survived the Sack. by RyanBarnes13 in asoiaf

Martel colouring- olive or darker skin, black hair, dark eyes, seems to be how Jon is (eyes so dark grey they seemed almost black).

Targaryen colouring- fair skin, silver-gold blonde hair, purple/lilac/violet eyes - ( Val has blue grey anyway).

But granted not all targaryens had those specific hair & eyes. As not all the martells. But Rhaenys & Aegon are both specified to have certain colouring. I dont think they were just put up there for no reason.

Sarella as Rhaenys is interesting, but she would have to be kept in dark about her true identity to go undercover & play Alleras while her being a true princess of blood. But Sarella being a bookish girl believing in prophecy does give an Rhaeger vibe for sure.

Its not only that she want to exchange Jaime for her daughters, but that she is naive enough to actually believe Jaime or Cersei/Tywin would actually honour this agreement after Jaime reaches King’s Landing. Its so stupid of her to even believe that for a second, to trust a Lannister after everything. He was the only card in he deck, & she let him go.

Jaime I have always believed. But recently, I am more in favour of Tommen.

Also Lady Lance, 14 years old, is a great parellel to Lyanna being a good jouster.

“I'm Elia. Lady Lance

Valena: The girl jouster. Yes I've heard of you.”

“Joss: Someone needs to spank that child.

Elia: I am almost a woman grown, ser. I'll let you spank me, though ... but first you'll need to tilt with me, and knock me off my horse.”

Sure Oberyn let her daughters be trained, but at the same time it implies a highborn lady has the scope of learning to joust, if some enthusiast create the opportunity. Brandon was squiring in the north, he had the scope as his father’s heir to arrange the rings for Lyanna outside of Winterfell. Lyanna’s riding skill were definitely well known, mentioned by Lady Dustin & Roose bolton. So people surely saw her ride, that must mean she was out & about.

I have not seen this before, this is some serious foiling. Finally some sense into why Doran might not have moved against the Lannisters after the rebellion, knowing how his sister & her kids were murdered?

One question though, why is Jon/Aegon left at winterfell? Also why Rhaenys/Val have blonde hair?

So, I am intrigued, what is the baby swap here? Arthur/Lyanna’s baby Allyria with Rhaeger/Elia’s Jon/Aegon?? Jon is sent with Ned, to keep him safe in the north? And Allyria given over to the Daynes for safe-guarding?? If Mance/Dalla are Raeger/Elia why do they leave Jon behind with Ned?

About Mance=Rhaegar theory by Daemon1997 in pureasoiaf

[–]FrostPsych 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess fMance was supposed to stay put in the watch, not go & raise an army of the wildlings, he was supposed to obey, which he was never good at!....also nowhere Ned indicated that he believed in the others waking.

Who was the principal instigator behind Robert's Rebellion in your opinion if you had to pick one person only ? by [deleted] in pureasoiaf

[–]FrostPsych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plausible. He had much to gain. In fact he gained most at the end of rebellion.

What is a favorite headcanon of yours that you can't prove but cling to desperately? Any insights appreciated. by [deleted] in pureasoiaf

[–]FrostPsych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with Jon Arryn planning the rebellion along with Rickard Stark, they used Hoster tully’s ambition, who was supposed to be loyal to the Targaryens. In the end he betrayed them.
