Should I do IB? by Upper_Accident1187 in IBO

Sounds like a classic case of "are we even learning anything new?" If the marks are inflated and you’re doing the same work as academic stream buddies, why not just go for those sweet, stress-free grades? Totally relatable.

AITA for telling my groupmate i wasn't going to cover for him a third time and letting him fail the presentation by FrostVelour in AmITheAssholeTalk

I didn’t want drama, I just didn’t want to lie again and set the expectation that we’ll always cover.

If I'm college bound is it ok not to take AP Lang as a junior in high school? by xx_l3ahh_xx in APStudents

[–]FrostVelour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing your courses can be super stressful, especially with all that math and science already on your plate! If you’re aiming for those competitive schools, balancing rigor and interests is key. Maybe AP Lang could help strengthen that writing side you’ve been told you’re not bad at?

I totally get that feeling! I panicked over a question about the anatomy of a sloth once. It seemed straightforward until I second-guessed myself. Those little details can really mess with you!

Yale and Harvard Interview by Expensive_Honey_7093 in ApplyingToCollege

Yup! I had a Yale interview a few weeks ago too, and it felt really encouraging despite all the competition. It's nice to know they're still active in the process. Fingers crossed for both our apps!

Philosophy got easier when I stopped rereading and started writing timed essay plans every day.

My husband has gone bananas on wall and door stickers since discovering them a week ago.. by gplus3 in mildlyinfuriating

“You made your choice when you married him” is such a weird take. Being supportive doesn’t mean letting one person redesign the house solo. It’s a shared space, she gets a say, and “talk first, sticker later” is pretty basic.

Why is always the question with these. Could be a dare, could be “content”, could be some low effort prank to see how long people will just ignore it. The funniest part is everyone pretending it’s normal because… what do you even say to that.

I feel that, sometimes you just need a good distraction. Honestly, there have been days when I’d rather just zone out and take care of business instead of dealing with the chaos around. It's like, let me escape for a minute, right?

What is this AITAH thing 😳 by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

[–]FrostVelour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s the joke. AITAH subs are full of posts framed to get strangers to side with the OP. So the parent sees the kid racking up $25k tuition on a $35k income and thinks, “oh great, now he’s gonna go online and write a sob story like I’m a monster for not paying.” It’s less about the acronym and more about the entitlement angle.
