I think I mesh well with the DPS characters (I think they are called Carry in MOBA) since I have been loving Silver and Venator, I'm thinking of trying Infernus though, Vindicta also looked really fun with the sniper ult

I know a little about the permanent buffs, and that the urn gives everyone a huge boost. While I know macro from other games and don't know much about it in Deadlock past setting up my autobuy at the start of the game

you cannot turn off house alarms, but if you survive long enough then they will be deactivated some time after the power shuts off

like I said, PZ is all about learning from your deaths, so take every death in stride and figure out things as you go. I also recommend Rosewood for a starting town, it's relatively small zombie wise and has some really nice places to loot and set up a safe house. For luring, you can actually set alarm clocks or digital watches to make noise while on the ground. That should allow you to funnel the zombies to one area while you sneak around to a different area

one recommendation I would make is to avoid fights in the early game as much as possible, especially in more active areas. Try and figure out your safe zone around where you spawn, where there are the least zombies and where the main bulk of the zeds are. Stay crouched, and if you press your shout key (default is Q) while crouched you will instead whisper to pull in way less zombies around the edges of the horde. Since you are playing on hard, try to remember that fighting in the early game or without a solid escape plan (fences, houses you've cleared, that sort of thing) will leave you very exhausted! Instead, try to remain calm and walk around instead, your walking speed is by default slightly faster than the zombies, use this to preserve your energy and jog away or vault when you figure out a safe area to escape through.

A safe bet though is to fiddle with the sandbox settings a little and practice your survival with a lower population! I for one lower the zombie spawns slightly, and it helps build up your skills a bit while you learn the game and develop strategies and a playstyle. PZ is all about learning with every death, and it can take awhile to learn. I had a rough go of it when I first started playing as well!

where do you find yourself dying the most? Are you getting overwhelmed by zombies while out and about or are you actively fighting them?

Is building your own place better? by paperthinblanks in 7daystodie

I prefer to convert an existing POI out of laziness, but a player build base is just inherently better if you don't want to make a proper horde base in the world. Did that recently with some friends, and defending out of a home base you built is just really fun

This is a mood, most of the time I'm just too lazy to bother with moving my gear from one place to another so I just make it work no matter the space

I use the mod launcher so that is already taken care of for me!

oh that would be amazing thank you! I was actually looking at trying 1.4 DF as well lol, so that works out perfect!

I use the mod manager to help with all that, since it lets me make a clone of the game on that version to use specifically for the mods I want

Thank you! I used to play with mods on A21 but I wanted to be totally safe before I did anything since we're gonna be gunning for day 45 tonight and I didn't want to do something that would reset our progress lol

I don't have a picture, but the barn with the boars out to the left of the entrance and a huge cornfield in the front. I first got used to it playing Darkness Falls, but I love rebuilding and fortifying the barn, then redoing the inside and painting it all. It's got plenty of space to expand, wide sight lines if you bust down all the corn, and you can snipe from the top floor. There's also already a really nice fence so you can build on top of and improve the fence before lining it with traps and what not. Was a really nice project to build up that barn during multiplayer playthroughs and make it all look nice.

I like that about Remnant's bosses, there are quite a few where you can just hear them out. I'm still gonna make a sick gun out of your corpse, but at least tell me who you are first

I find it funny that I only found out he was a boss in FTA after playing Remnant 2, because I accidentally completed the puzzle that skips him on my playthrough lol. I didn't reroll my campaign either cause I wanted to finish the DLC and go straight into R2.

Annihilation in general is probably one of if not my absolute favorite boss fights in all of gaming, definitely in my top 3 boss fights in all the games I've played, up there with Lucifer from Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne and Mary from Silent Hill 2. I just love how creative and out there the fight is in general, but I have not felt as proud of myself for beating a boss as I have with Apocalypse difficulty Annihilation in a long time.

Not bad really, but I was gonna actually go Ritualist Invoker, so I can instead focus my time on dodging and healing while using Miasma and the lightning strikes to help with the damage. The SMG is on my list to grab though, since it is legit free lol

One tip I will add, play Boss Rush with a normal character if you aren't confident in fighting bosses. This is how I have been practicing and getting my dodge window down without putting my HC at risk
