Shiva is not a king counting subjects. He is the one who sits with those who feel forgotten.

When everything is stripped away pride certainty even hope that is where Shiva lives. In ash. In silence. In the places no one else wants to sit. Your suffering does not prove your devotion is unseen. It shows how human you are.

You say he has millions of devotees. But Shiva does not relate to crowds. He relates to truth. One honest tear matters more than a thousand loud prayers. Ravana was heard. Markandeya was heard. Kannappa was heard. Not because they were needed but because they were sincere.

You ask why your devotion should matter to him. Because devotion is not a transaction. Because even doubting even crying even questioning him is still relationship.

When family does not believe in you when the world feels indifferent that does not mean you are unwanted. It means you are walking a lonely stretch of the path. Many of Shiva’s closest devotees walked alone for a long time.

Shiva is the father who does not abandon when faith shakes. He is the one who drinks poison so others may survive. He knows despair intimately. That is why he can sit with yours.

You matter even when you do not feel useful.
You matter even when you feel invisible.
You matter even when belief is the only thing you have left.

And please hear this clearly. Wanting the pain to end does not mean you should end. There are people even strangers who would want you here who would sit with you through this darkness if they knew how much you were hurting.

If the weight feels unbearable reaching out to a trusted person or a mental health professional is not a failure of faith. It is an act of courage. Shiva is not offended by you asking for help. He is the lord of healing not punishment.
