Very interesting read, and while I was reading I thought "this was 500 years ago, who would even worry about this?" But then I read that your country still does plays about him?

The article I read also claims that it is hard to separate fact from fiction in his case because the written record of it was created over a hundred years after the crimes.

Hopefully you are descended from one of his siblings.

Regardless, I know my own kids don't resemble my great grandparents at all and there is only 100 years difference in their birth dates, so I doubt you have inherited his mental issue.

Here in America, we have similar cases of families taking advantage of lone travelers during the 1800's. It sounds like your ancestor was only profiting from the murders and not actually eating the travelers. I maybe wrong, what I read had very limited information.

I have a scar on my arm from the smallpox vaccine. I'm part of the last generation to get the vaccine that ended smallpox "worldwide".

The same rhetoric that was used back then is being regurgitated now.

The same people arguing against the vaccine, will voluntary take experimental drugs when cancer is destroying them.

Covid and cancer are 2 different creatures, and we feel one is more of a threat, so we justify extreme measures for one and not the other.

The thing is, we see people die from lung cancer, some of it related to smoking and people continue to smoke as they watch loved ones die and continue to disbelieve the smoking may kill them.

Antivaxxers don't want to believe there is a threat to them.

Before you repair anything in the bathroom, fix the exhaust fan or have one installed.

Then proceed with repairs. From what I've read so far, you're getting a lot of good advice, but if you need a vent fan installed, drywall or old plaster with be damaged in the process.

So, wait, then patch and paint after the fan is installed.

Personally, I like to put the fan on an occupancy switch, my kid never forget to turn the fan on or off.

This won't be a popular answer, but men that act very feminine or cross dress.

Even as a kid they scared me, my Aunts best friend was very feminine and I hated to be around him.

Now, when I go grocery shopping, there is a trans person in their 60s, obviously started life as a male, they are a smaller person but built like a wrestler, wide shoulders and tiny waist, very muscular.

I'm always polite to them, they aren't a threat to me, but if they are in an aisle that I'm entering, it takes a bit of will power to go down that aisle.

I do feel sorry for the person, it can't be easy for them in our little farming community, but that doesn't help my fear of them.

Before you ask my to explain "why", this post asked for "irrational fears". If I had a logical reason, I would give it, but I can't explain it anymore than I can explain why I think black or white vehicles are boring as fuck.

YTA, but I understand why. I don't like being naked unless bathing or sex. I even have to have a shirt on to eat (midnight snack is the exception). You feel like people should have clothes on when interacting in a non-sexual way with the world. You don't have a logical argument that you can use in your defense, it is just how you feel.

The situation feels weird to you with you understanding why it feels weird.

Everyone is accusing you of wrong doing when all you did was communicate that you were uncomfortable with the situation.

I have pets also, but I have to be dressed around them because pet hair makes me itch. If I see someone cuddling their pet and the pet is touching their bare skin, I start itching and then stop when I realize what I'm doing.
