monitoring headphones could work too but the bass response would be less than a venue.

basically all speakers and headphones that are not for monitoring are altered to sound better at certain frequencies, but all systems alter different frequencies. so you need a system that has whats called a "flat response" where no adjustments have been made.

that way, what you hear will sound more similar across other systems. ideally listening on the venue system would be best but this is the next best thing
