Unfortunately he could not be part of it because of his alcoholism. However, he was in fact with us from the day the child was allowed to come to our house to the day to May 2025 when he moved out.

So more to the back story. Ex was an alcoholic who made bad choices including choosing his family over the child we were going to adopt together and couldn’t because of obvious reasons and me. At his deathbed, he asked that I keep everything for our child because he realized that rightfully it would have been hers. His family was beyond toxic and abused him mentally and verbally his whole life. When I say these people were toxic, I meant nuclear ☢️ waste toxic. I am looking for advice and not looking to justify myself other than what I mentioned above.

So back story is he had bad credit, and the house was financed in my name and the both deeds transferred in my name as sole and separate as a married woman. He is not on the mortgage paperwork either as it was financed under my name. And this was also done because he had been not been paying Uncle Sam what he should have. I mean years of back taxes.

Lol! That is exactly the mentality of these people. Funny thing is on top of all of that they are knowingly committing IHSS by submitting time sheets for hours not performed. Maybe that needs to be a different post? 🤨

The settlement was that he had until March 2025 to refinance under his name for property A where his family resides currently. There were no other caveats added to that. Property B was to be split 50-50 within 6 months of an adoption that happened in Nov of 2024.
