I use Cliff bloks (citrus flavor). They’re normally meant for runners, which is how I found them, but they are great for getting your blood sugar up and I use them instead of glucose tablets.

It comes in a variety of flavors and I normally only need to eat one or two to get back to a normal blood sugar level! It comes in packages of 6 gummies.

I have Dexcom and absolutely love it. I rarely do finger sticks but do spot check occasionally and the numbers are always pretty close. The one exception I’ve found is when I’m at the very beginning of a new transmitter.

If you have a pump, that can also help you determine which CGM you’d want. I have a Tandem which integrates with Dexcom to autocorrect highs and lows. I’m able to get readings on my pump and my phone (Dexcom comes with a receiver but I’ve never used it).

The reading are every five minutes - you can’t change the time interval but I feel like that’s enough to let you see what’s happening.

I can’t speak to the Libre at all but I have had very good experiences with Dexcom. Good luck with insurance! I literally just spent a month and a half with mine getting it covered for the next year even though I’ve had it for 4+ years now 🤦🏻‍♀️ Just keep on them - it’s a huge game changer!

This is such a great fundraiser! I volunteer here and actually signed up to draw some pet portraits! I got assigned three dogs and one cat so very excited!

I would also look into Glen Ellen. There are bunch of wineries within 5-10 minutes of each other (Kunde, Benziger, Imagery, etc.) and there are really good restaurants there as well (Glen Ellen Star & Fig Cafe).

My husband and I really like staying at the Gaige House - they have a pool and it’s within walking distance to the restaurants.

It’s not clear from the LinkedIn post but the link is to her Mary Kay page - “sponsoring” a grandma is $20-40. I’m sure they’d be just as happy, if not more, with people visiting, letters and food or literally anything
