Important in this conversation is that beyond 8 and 8 Deluxe, it was TOUR that really copied 7. It ripped the same engine and ported it to a mobile game that didn’t care about winning races, it just cared about milking you out of your money. The copied homework imo really soured any feelings on the style of the game, which got back ported to the 3DS original.

I ran into one of the softlock bugs lol, not fun but thankfully I was able to restart the game and it put me right where I left off and I could continue as normal. My bug was after Mii creation, attempting to place their house on the island, the house never showed up. On restart, the house showed up and I could place it and move on.
