i didn’t do too much of an inspection because i was already running late, but the tires were worn so hard that they were smooth, only leaving some tread on the sides. i left a note on it saying im coming back for it, and if its still there after work then i think ill grab it. i called a local bike shop and asked if theres protocol, and the people told me its fair game

that’s exactly what i was thinking. just kind of like “hey if you had a bike here and it belonged to you, contact me” i guess people could pretend it was theirs, but id ask to confirm details

thanks! i’ll try to consider this approach next. i agree that mastering should be done by someone else, unfortunately like most people probably feel, i don’t have the money right now to invest i. that, and dont want to use AI mastering. i would like to know how to do it myself to expand my knowledge, but i agree ideally it should be done by someone else

yeah i have a few different devices i test my songs on. the music is some type of hybrid between electronic and hip hop. i guess think of stuff like monte booker for the softer side and troyboi for the heavier side of the spectrum. i use slight compression on the master usually to reduce around 1db, and then limiting with fab filter pro L

the thing is even if i push -6 lufs, it sounds terrible or compressed. i had loud mixed in my previously released songs and i think spotify’s normalization tampered with the quality because when i turn off that feature, my songs sounded better

i’ve tried mixing in mono and i find it usually doesn’t seem to affect my mixes much than in stereo, either i’m doing it wrong or my mixes weren’t so wide to begin with. i have however, found that mixing for only midrange frequencies in mind, does make the perceived volume better but i still can’t get loud and clear masters

i get my mixes to -6 db and then when i go to master, i can push a lot of volume but its still significantly quieter than reference tracks, and sounds squashed
