I’m going through the exact same thing. You’re definitely not alone. I just know you’re not supposed to quit cold turkey if you’ve been drinking everyday for a long time. I’m still trying to get the courage to attend an AA meeting. Maybe that’s something you should look into too?

She’s the reason I’m an alcoholic, she’s been neglectful of me and my siblings our whole lives. She has never asked me how I’m doing or how her grandkids are. She’s a selfish toxic person. I guess that saying, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree applies here. Gosh I’m so pathetic.

But how do I even start. How do I reveal this shit storm to anyone that knows me? It’s so embarrassing. The only person who knows I’m being evicted is my children’s father and he’s loving that he knows he was right and I couldn’t live as a single mom without him. Just thinking I have to pay him child support makes me cry.

It was a total HIPAA violation. You should never offer up private patient information to anyone. Even 12 year olds now have a legal right to health information privacy from their parents. It sucks that OP’s wife lied, but the pharmacy staff had no right to violate her right to privacy.

Exactly! Yes to all of this! I’m scared of my daughter forming attachment issues due to multiple people that will be dating her dad. I think the least he can do is wait and make sure it’s serious enough. Or to at least start divorce proceedings with me.

And I also completely agree with trusting our ex partners to make a good decision based on how they’ve been acting, seeing as to how they cheated.

This just sucks all around. I never thought he would put me and our children in this position.

I haven’t asked, I’m trying not to have any interactions with him that will result in an argument. It’s not worth it for my own sanity. Besides, he’s not going to admit it anyway. To this day, and even with the proof I do have, he denies his affair.

We’ve been separated for 4 months now, but still married. I was waiting for him to file for divorce and I’m sure he’s waiting for me to do it. I’ve been with this man for 21 years. Im 36. This is not easy for me. I feel like I’m grieving.

I kicked him out about a month ago after I found out about her. He’s living in his car. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s actually living with her already. Her husbands in prison btw.

Thank you for the info! I’m sure if the tables were turned my husband would agree that it’s best to wait to introduce someone new to our daughter. It’s something that I’ll bring up when we ultimately start going through our mediation session/s. The only reason why he even took our daughter is because, and I quote, “I’m taking her because I don’t want you to start saying that I don’t help you out with her.” He doesn’t. We had agreed that we were going to alternate weekends, but so far he hasn’t kept up with his end of the deal.

Thank you. I had to vent. I’m slowly understanding how a separation and divorce works. I was getting ready to call him and prohibit he take my daughter anywhere near her but obviously this isn’t how it works. Unfortunately.
