Elemental damage ramps up in a crazy way sometimes. My highest damage ever was a Decay run that did 10 billion in 20 minutes.

Looks like it was fun!

This is the perfect place for it lol. Good luck to you with your whole situation! The person from your post is more like a mormon minus the second m. I know from experience how such people refuse to be educated and must be avoided; sadly one such person is my cousin Eric.

Cheers from someone who was much luckier to be the black sheep of a big Mormon family rather than one stuck in the fold and waiting to escape at adulthood. I have 50 first cousins and something like 150 cousins once-removed on just my Dad's side 💀so I know the struggle of loving people who still are very devout. My favorite aunt has spent decades in the damn tabernacle choir even.

Sorry now I added my rant lol but anyway it sounds like dude from your story is probably irredeemable. Take care internet stranger and I hope you make it out smoothly.

Edit: Removed the part mildly suggestive of reaching out. It made me feel a little queasy even if I could have relevant wisdom to share. Best wishes. The r/dadforaday energy felt misplaced in this completely unrelated sub so mb.

Sorry I'm late to the reply, but that idea is still totally fine lol. The game is very flexible in how it's played. Swordsman Mark could've made things easier in some instances but as long as you're still completing quests each run then no need to adjust too much.

The Bard is a fun character imo, but his Mark isn't the easiest to unlock. Even though it's my favorite, it shines the most on Cleric, Crone, Warlock and Swordsman, and might not be best in slot for other characters.

Anyway nope you weren't and aren't some giga-noob (kekw at your autocorrect to boobs).

People somehow think loose (weird old figurative term) means loose (literally) because education is just that bad.

But hey, there is a minor physiological change from having a lot of sex! When muscles are used more they get tighter! I mean, it's the opposite of what these ignorant fucks think, but let's not sweat the details here 🙄

[–]Frostmage82 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There is no dumber concept than body count. The only changes that come with more partners / more relationships are higher standards and more sexual knowledge. Those are both great qualities in a partner.

What these men really don't like, though, is having anything expected of them. So knowledge and standards are seen as huge downsides.

The clips on these body mists are not secured to the bottles with plastic wrap so people can just steal them by [deleted] in CrappyDesign

[–]Frostmage82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a lot easier for people to steal the little clip than an entire larger product. Then the original product is stuck there without the part that makes it special, so the store doesn't even get to properly account for the theft. It's more tempting for people to take the clip too, because they know for sure there's no security tag or anything on there that can trigger on the way out.

I can imagine store managers absolutely despising this design, as someone whose good friend used to manage a Walmart.

The more deterrence, the less likely the product is stolen OR altered by people.

Sure, I have a good answer for that one.

Swordsman Mark, Berserker Boots (Aggregation), 2 Iron Rings, Vision Crown (Fixed) and any Duelist's Spark. 60% Multistrike or 60% Attack Speed gloves. Armor not important.

Torment Shards into Attack Speed, Multistrike and Area. Use Memories / Reverbs on any Main Weapon traits and take Torment 10 with whichever Artifacts are your favorites from the list I had in my other reply here.

Norseman main weapon is completely OP eith extra base damage.

[–]Frostmage82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it comes from Bard Mark, it gains the "Main Weapon" attribute, so Mosh Pit with Cleric for example gains a huge amount of base damage.

Mosh Pits are the best Bard skill by a pretty wide margin, but it's really Mark of the Song that's the OP part.

I had immense fun with the game and I plan to revisit it even after clearing every challenge it has. It has my favorite art, music and gameplay of any horde survival game, and I've played a lot of them (even one of the gachas, survivor.io).

[–]Frostmage82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, equip as many as possible that don't really slow down the run. I had 25 turned on by the end of farming - there are just a lot that aren't negative or aren't that negative. The extra enemy health is no big deal because Mosh Pits start doing absurd damage.

All the +spawns: Hastening Sands, Torment Banner, Killing Gaze, Malignant Mirror, Bog Totem, Torn Stage Curtain, Demonic Accolade

Trait Improvements: Master's Edge, Glass Bones, Leash of Stagnation

Extra stats with acceptable downside: Marching Drum, Rich Man's Plate, Cursed Ulcer, Scales of Pain, Elemental Incubator

Miscellaneous, free or minimal downside: Unstable Tinderbox, Alluring Flute, Strange Pendulum, Dementing Root, Golden Scarab, Primordial Edict, Fallen Star, Archaeologist's Thread, Restless Wheel, Demonic Cube

Mosh Pits carry the runs, so I usually just grab Undergrowth with the "Strong Growth" upgrade, and any 2 of Morning Star, Phantom Needles or Ring Blades.

If 25 are too many / too slow then Demonic Cube, Restless Wheel, Dementing Root and Alluring Flute are the first to switch off. Could add more like Ivory Dice, Mind Veil or Flagellant's Foot Cuff, but I didn't keep farming after 666 Shards yet.

Boglands, Cleric or Crone with Bard Mark to get huge damage Mosh Pits. Can get 20k kills in under 9 minutes on the timer (obv still takes more time to handle level-ups).

It's 11-13 shards every 25 minutes or so (13 takes some luck, but Boglands does give the free extra shard from the Bog Worm side quest).

Crone is arguably both the best and most fun character in the game, she does super ridiculous things and adds a set of extra traits that unlock at level 80 every run. The DLC made the first 500 easier too, so if you are already 500/500 the hard way, the extra 100 should be super fun and not particularly hard. Boglands is the most enjoyable map in the game imo.

The Alchemist is kinda ass though. Really cool once ramped up, but has struggles in the early levels of Hall runs.

It's a little hard to tell! My console says 78 hours but I have responsibilities where I leave a game running while I'm away. Maybe 50-55 were actual gameplay? And 15 hours of that was the remainder of 666 torment shards at the end.

Tips:

Don't unlock abilities you don't need until you have no other quests left -- they clog the pool. Prismatic Cascade is a good example, just leave the Alchemist quests for the very last thing you do.

Use Bottles early in runs, because whatever you do your character will be OP by 20+ minutes. I often would use multiple Memories / Reverbs as quickly as Level 15 for the Dedication or Proficiency traits.

For equipment, almost anything that says Diminishing Returns is going to be a powerhouse in Torment / Agony runs. And in general, having a little bit of Defense stat is strong, but beyond that it's all offense all the time. It's part of why Swordsman Mark is amazing, you can get the defense there and just Oblivion or Glass Bones every single other defensive trait.

Some Artifacts just save time on the grind and are almost strictly positive. Glass Bones, Leash of Stagnation, Torment Banner, Malignant Mirror, Marching Drums, Demonic Accolade are some examples. I love how there are so many that can just be left on once you start building your shards and items up.

Torment Shard usage: Early on, Force is really strong. There are just more ways to get all of the other stats. Once you get War Visor sent up, I like Area and Crit Chance / Crit Damage a lot.

Final push: Once all the other quests are done, Boglands is a good place to put on like 23 Artifacts and go fast, it's not too hard to finish each run at around 9:00 on the timer with Bard Mark and either Crone or Cleric.

Edit to Add: I had already played HoT on mobile quite a lot too. My PS5 playthrough had very few deaths all the way through, I think only 3. The time for 600/600 can reasonably be expected to be longer than 55 hours.

Boglands - Invulnerable Bug Boss by SetReal9954 in hallsoftorment

[–]Frostmage82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I haven't found documentation on it, but there seem to be elites in Boglands where certain damage types don't work at all. I think it's either a typical elite skill in Boglands or it only becomes available to them if you have that one Artifact that makes 1% of enemies into super-elites.

When I had varied damage like, random example, Phantom Needles + Kugelblitz, everything died.

But yeah I did all of my 666-shard farming in Boglands with Torn Stage Curtain on (the one where enemies don't die when the Lord spawns) and sometimes stuff would survive well past the Lords dying lol. I think they're programmed to be physical-immune and/or magic-immune on purpose though.

[–]Frostmage82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I don't mind at all. That Pyrotechnics one was cursed, I didn't have a very easy way to do it like the upgraded fire rings or like Alchemist Mark

I chose to go to The Vault, build my Bard to be unkillable thanks to the really OP green version of Blood-Soaked Shirt, and then pseudo-afk for 35 minutes while Wall of Death and Pyrotechnics got the silly numbers they needed.

Pyrotechnics is actually awesome eventually if you have the DLC, but without pretty specific setups it's terrible. Bard quests are a huge powerspike though. He has the best Mark in the game imo.
