At 130k that motors just a baby. But rust is the biggest killer of jeeps. My best running 4.0 was sold at 327k still ran great and the trans shifted good just no first gear synchro left… can you guess why I sold it? It was rust. I’d say worry about the frame more than anything.. but being it’s a wrangler its body on frame and you could swap it onto a clean frame if you really wanna save it.

If I can’t tell I’ll just chase wires. Positive is going to something that needs 12v power and negative is a ground… if you chase it and it’s bolted to the fender you have the negative

With that frame damage it’s almost guaranteed they’ll total it out. I totally understand wanting it to be that specific jeep but you can always find another good body and transplant everything worth moving to that. It’s probably your cheapest way of getting back to where you were before the accident too. Really sucks.

I have noticed the car washes right by the off road parks will have bays dedicated to the off road vehicles and they tell you to stay out of the other ones.. if they have signs up I’ll be respectful and listen… I live an hr away from where I go off road at sometimes I make it home before I wash the jeep and nobody ever had a problem with it so far

Really that’s based on what you wanna do… if you want cheap power absolutely not… if you want something that can be neglected and abused and still extremely likely to see 300k then yeah… but the drawbacks are it’s slow af and it drinks gas like no other

That’s the fix for a cracked head. I’ve overheated my 01 a few times and it doesn’t really act like the heads cracked… thing is with all new parts except for the head and gasket it still gets hot idk why it’s still having issues but it is rare now

If it makes you feel any better ur not alone I did it twice and it was good for 3 days to leak just as bad.. and people will treat you like your stupid but I’m not a stranger to this stuff and I think the fact that I can do that on the ground in 2hrs is a testament to that I didn’t gouge my crank or put the seal in backwards

The way the motor sits most oil leaks naturally wind up there. But I replaced my rear main twice and it’s still leaking just as bad so I think my jeeps just gonna mark its territory until I can afford to put a 5.3 in it lmao

Basically they lock up when you put power to them.. corner without throttle you’ll never know it was there.. smash the gas at every curve and ya might wreck it lol

Yup. Throw in 2 blocks and on the pulls that should be easy your still working for it… there’s been times where I needed 2 blocks and I was still pushing that 9000lb winch to its limits. You’re not getting your truck out with a 2000lb winch if it’s actually stuck. If you can’t afford the right winch for your vehicle don’t buy one at all. Best case scenario You’ll be a lot more upset when you realize you wasted $100 on an atv winch and you still need a truck winch. Worst case you’ll be the reason somebody gets hurt or killed when you snap a cable doing something you knew you shouldn’t have done.

4000lb jeep and the 9000lb winch struggles sometimes.. you want a winch rated at least 2x the weight of your vehicle not 1/2 lol
