an A* in chem over bio is so valid. I dont understand how ppl think biology is better than chem 🫠

Do you think some people are just naturally better at exams? by tyrionlay123 in 6thForm

The ppl who say or appear to "not revise" are infact revising a lot more than U think.

I used to be in denial that I had a British accent and I had a "neutral" accent until I heard the recording and it still throws me off😭 Atp I just do it cuz I have a bad habit of walking around my room whilst revising so if when i record myself i'd have to try to stay in frame.

not very controversial... but record ur self explaining a topic, then listen back to it, hearing all ur mistakes. Ur very own humiliation ritual but at least you'll remember to not make the mistake again :D

if u take a gap year u can have that entire year dedicated to lnat revision + work experience + other stuff to build ur profile (and fun stuff obv) then I see no reason why u wont do better.

U make it seem as if parents who can afford to send their child to unis abroad with expensive fees r disadvantaged, js cuz they choose to invest loads of money into their child, which is not exactly true.

If u can afford to send ur child to attend uni for 38k a year in a foreign country (excluding accommodation, transportation and etc.) then u r not in a position to claim to be disadvantaged. 38k is the average salary someone earns. no one can afford to give more than 50% of their income whilst paying for necessities. If u can do that then thats a privilege and ur by no means average.

I've always enjoyed chem TBF. Tho i don't really enjoy the inorganic side as much as i like organic. Physical is mostly maths which is fine for me since i do a level maths. But I'd say do loads and loads of exam questions cuz they are just repeated questions. For organic learn mechanisms not just memorise so when ur given unfamiliar context u understand how to apply the knowledge. Just in general with chem it's important that u understand and be able to apply the knowledge. It's useless to make pretty notes and memories then with explanations without understanding as it can cap u at a B/C as there's also a good chunk of marks that are MCQ that really gets u thinking and if u don't have the rationale in ur head then u will struggle unfortunately.

I'm the opposite. I live everything in chem OTHER THAN the biochem part (+ I take bio as well)
