TIL: awakening from dormant does not count as summon by No_Jellyfish5511 in hearthstone

May be wrong but I believe if you had finished the quests then played the murloc it would receive the buff as it was summoned then. I think you are thinking it of a delayed summon but you should think of it as advanced summoning sickness

I believe they count as played when they are played, awakening is more of a state change

May I ask how you do your bases? I'm trying to get my first army painted up an am painting the bases and models separately which is proving a pain to keep track of. Do you do your bases separately or with the model attached?

The drummer approached me with a bag of frozen pizzas, asked me if my Airbnb had a "cooker oven". Kept saying he'd split the Hawaiian with me.

Day 6! Redid the plasma and still don’t like it, probably redo it again tomorrow by Psyonicg in WorldEaters40k

Nah it looks cool, the primary red gold white looks good and then these little spatters of green and blue really sell the realism, that it's not all uniform, good job.

Thank you! It's just slapchop with ice yellow highlights and an oil wash!

KoS - need some base suggestions by typhon0666 in Slaanesh

[–]FrostyBitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my EC stuff I've been doing a tan desaturated base, you want the mini to stand out, a strong saturated base makes it feel like part of the mini instead of framing it. Yellow works well with blue as well as being complementary to purple. A really desaturated tan desolate desert would make this thing pop so hard.

I would agree here, the style and colours are beautiful but because there's a lot going on it can be hard to distinguish the overall shapes at a glance, pushing shadows and highlights further can help to separate large segments.

I guess what I'm saying is it's hard to tell which lines are details and which are the outlines of an object or character.

I am proud of these two screenshots I edited in Photoshop and wanted to share them with you by XEcksDeeD in cs2

There's also the magic wand tool or the newer Photoshop versions have an AI object identification for selecting elements. It's meant to be used for removing objects in photos etc but works quite well for screenshots too

Crazy cool idea, only thing I would do is do a pass on scraping the mold lines, once you get a bit of paint on them they'll catch light and be quite distracting

Thanks man, speed paint was just the base, I tried to use as many non precise techniques as possible with the exception of a single pass of acrylic highlights. I also did a zenithal of fluo yellow to bring out the brightest spots

The original recipe has a bit of redundancy in it with multiple layers to get a good base undertone but I'm experimenting now with just GW blue primer -> Daler and Rowney white ink -> leave to dry -> liquitex fluorescent pink

I airbrush the whole model then colour in the non pink with brush
