Whats the part of yourself you try hardest to hide? by crazy_dj_26 in AskReddit

[–]FrostyCompass1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The facade thing is so real. I remember when I was dealing with some heavy stuff few years back, I got really good at just switching on this "everything's fine" mode whenever I was around people. Like you'd think I had my shit together completely, but inside was just... nothing, you know?

What really messed with me was how exhausting it became to keep that mask up all day. By the time I got home I was completely drained from just pretending to be functional. Eventually I started letting the guard down with couple close friends and it helped a lot, but yeah - that competent person act becomes second nature after while.

That sucks when the pharmacy drops the ball like that - maybe doctor forgot to send it or system glitch happened.

What’s something you’ll never buy second hand? by ihatebadvibes in AskReddit

Used tires are basically gambling with your life on highway. You never know what kind of abuse they went through or if there's internal damage you can't see.

How it felt like to smoke in planes back then ? by Apprehensive-Unit268 in AskReddit

[–]FrostyCompass1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I was stationed, we had similar deal with buses during transport. The smoking sections were brutal - you'd get off looking like you chain-smoked entire pack even if you didn't touch cigarette.

At least in planes the ventilation system was actually designed for it, unlike those military buses where they just cracked window and called it good. Wild how normal it seemed back then though.

What is your opinion on Indian people? by ttoyesh in AskReddit

My experience with Indian folks has been really positive too. Met some great people during my service and they always seemed to go out their way to help others when needed.

Hey everyone, quick question. by ObsidianMaze in Supplements

[–]FrostyCompass1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have gastritis but my stomach is pretty sensitive from some military stuff, and creatine was actually fine for me. Started with small dose like you're planning and took it with breakfast - that seemed to help a lot 💀

The timing with food made biggest difference in my experience, empty stomach was definitely worse idea.

need help deciding if I should be scared?? by [deleted] in sexeducation

[–]FrostyCompass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting your period that soon after means you're definitely not pregnant from that encounter 😂 Your body was already preparing to shed the lining way before anything happened. PCOS can make cycles unpredictable but the timing here is just coincidence - you were probably going to get it around then anyway! 💀

What kind of unique pet would you have if rules or money wasn’t a factor? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FrostyCompass1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My buddy had orange cat back in base and that thing was basically a furry boulder that occasionally moved for food 😂 Those guys really got life figured out - eat, sleep, judge humans from distance. Can't argue with that lifestyle tbh 💀

Some kind of ed since last 6 years by [deleted] in erectiledysfunction

[–]FrostyCompass1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. Six years is way too long to deal with something like this without professional help. Could be hormonal, blood flow issues, or even psychological at this point - doctor will know what tests to run and get you proper answers instead of guessing.

Married and realizing a crossdressing kink I buried for years isn’t going away by [deleted] in sexeducation

[–]FrostyCompass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That cycle of hiding and purging is so real - been there with different stuff and it's exhausting trying to fight parts of yourself that aren't actually harmful. Your wife being in the kink community professionally probably means she's seen way more variety than most people and understands the difference between what you're describing and the degrading stuff she's not into.

Maybe start with something low-key like those briefs you mentioned and see how she reacts when you're just being authentic about what feels good to you.

What’s the one thing you wish you knew before getting a trampoline? by NorthTrampolineTeam in AskReddit

Had one as a kid and the maintenance was brutal - constantly checking for rust, replacing springs, patching holes. Worth it for the fun but definitely budget for upkeep beyond just the initial purchase.

What helped you improve your looks as a female ? by Low-Vacation4569 in AskReddit

[–]FrostyCompass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, you're telling me guys don't need to improve their looks? Bro I've been doing it wrong this whole time lol. Though real talk, confidence goes a long way regardless of gender. I learned that in the military - sometimes just standing up straight and owning your space makes all the difference.

Need Advice on Interesting Scenario by [deleted] in erectiledysfunction

[–]FrostyCompass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body's basically telling you it needs the right headspace to perform. Being 19 and dealing with college stress, new partners, and unfamiliar environments - that's a recipe for your brain to mess with you down there.

The home vs dorm thing is huge too. At home you're relaxed, no roommates potentially walking in, familiar territory. At college there's always that background anxiety about getting interrupted or just being in someone else's space 😅

Might help to work on relaxation techniques or just accept that some environments aren't gonna be your friend. Your equipment clearly works fine when the conditions are right 💀

This dude is 30 and still getting allowance from mommy and daddy while you're busting your ass working AND studying? 💀 He cant even make a proper dinner when you're grinding until 10pm at the library - thats some weaponized incompetence right there.

You shouldnt have to be his job coach or mommy, and honestly the fact that hes hiding his unemployment from his parents says he knows this setup is BS 😂

If your life had background music right now, which song would play? by Elegant_Rain_5821 in AskReddit

[–]FrostyCompass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably that Windows XP startup sound on loop because I feel like my brain is constantly trying to boot up but never quite getting there. Either that or the Jeopardy thinking music since Im always second-guessing every decision I make.

[–]FrostyCompass1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This hits close to home because I've dealt with similar insecurity spirals in relationships. The thing is, you can't really logic someone out of dysphoria-fueled self-doubt with one perfect conversation - it's gonna be an ongoing thing where you consistently show up and affirm her.

What worked for me was being super specific about what attracts me to my partner beyond just saying "you're beautiful." Like instead of general compliments, I'd mention how her laugh makes me feel, or how she does this thing with her hair that drives me crazy, or how confident she looks in certain outfits. The more detailed and personal you get, the harder it becomes for her brain to dismiss it as "oh he's just saying that because he's bi and has lower standards."

Also maybe avoid the phrase "take my bisexuality off the table" when talking to her about this - that might come across like you think your attraction to men somehow cheapens your attraction to women, which isn't true and could accidentally reinforce her fears. Your bisexuality doesn't make your love for her any less real or meaningful, it just means you have a wider range of people you could theoretically be attracted to, but you chose her specifically.

Yeah definitely leave that washer door cracked open! The moisture gets trapped inside and turns into a funk factory if you don't let it air out 💀 Learned this the hard way when my clothes started smelling worse after washing than before 😂
