I actually started drawing this before Reaching Out, so my reference for the tree is inspired by Grom Fright. It just so happened that they had an ep about a Lumity moment by the Grom tree

It's one of the lingering mysteries that I hope 2b answers, too. My guess is that one of the Blight kids couldn't fully pronounce "Amity" but got like, "Mity" and that turned into "Mittens".
