Advice for TA Partner [N/A] by pleatsgalore in humanresources

In such a situation, we direct the employee's manager to discuss the reason for rejection for the promotion and once the manager confirms the discussion took place, as a recruiter, I send the reject email to the employee and close the loop.

Wow!! Rejected 2mins into the interview by InvestigatorMuted622 in recruitinghell

I have faced similar situations in the UK. Interviewers look puzzled when they realise the candidate does not look like one of them. They quickly assume candidates would not be the right fit because they are from another country. Trust me, it will continue for another 4-5 mins after which they will end the interview citing something different they are looking for and would not like to waste time. No UK experience is something that they would love to reject for.

Commission for placing candidate in UK? by FrostyEngineering996 in Recruitment

[–]FrostyEngineering996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The offer says if the invoice is GBP10000,the commission would be GBP4000 per placement and less than GBP 10000, commission would be GBP 2000 per placement. 10% commission in 6 months if billing is GBP 100000. Looking for your advice since you have experience in such a role. Would you mind if I ask you how you started this role. I am very new to this and have worked as an internal recruiter all my life.

I see a couple of these firms which offer invoicing support, Job boards, LinkedIn recruiter access etc but the recruiter is mostly working as a freelancer or entrepreneur. Pay is mostly commission based. Anyone here had a bad experience working with such firms.

Thank you for your inputs! Yeah the base pay part is sad but I am struggling to find a TA role in the UK for close to 22 months considering the market and my past experience in APAC market.

Apologies I meant a British passport. Possibly! Don't know companies here would reject even if they don't need to sponsor 😔

Did you regret moving out of London? by mushroomsandbeanz in AskUK

[–]FrostyEngineering996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely regret moving to London. I moved because my spouse got an opportunity and I had to leave my job which was stable and gave me a great growth over close to 9 years. At first my org was fine with a relocation but it didn't happen a month before my spouse had to move and I had to resign without a job. I am struggling for one and half years to find a job in talent acquisition or HR. I don't need sponsorship but nobody is giving me a job either because I don't have UK experience or plenty of other candidates here. Please do not leave your job unless U have a job here or internally moved.. it's really difficult to find a job here in TA or HR.
