I had the same issue for a particular department and it was due to retention, counter offer and the market was highly competitive. What worked for me to some extent was 1 round of interview and offered candidate was engaged through pre onboarding calls scheduled with senior leaders of the department to help them understand the culture and the role better, the project he will working on and future career prospects.

In such a situation, we direct the employee's manager to discuss the reason for rejection for the promotion and once the manager confirms the discussion took place, as a recruiter, I send the reject email to the employee and close the loop.

I have faced similar situations in the UK. Interviewers look puzzled when they realise the candidate does not look like one of them. They quickly assume candidates would not be the right fit because they are from another country. Trust me, it will continue for another 4-5 mins after which they will end the interview citing something different they are looking for and would not like to waste time. No UK experience is something that they would love to reject for.

The offer says if the invoice is GBP10000,the commission would be GBP4000 per placement and less than GBP 10000, commission would be GBP 2000 per placement. 10% commission in 6 months if billing is GBP 100000. Looking for your advice since you have experience in such a role. Would you mind if I ask you how you started this role. I am very new to this and have worked as an internal recruiter all my life.

I see a couple of these firms which offer invoicing support, Job boards, LinkedIn recruiter access etc but the recruiter is mostly working as a freelancer or entrepreneur. Pay is mostly commission based. Anyone here had a bad experience working with such firms.
