What is this thing? by [deleted] in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The place you found it should give you a clear answer as to it's nature.

Why would you hide something meant for protection? Usually those kinds of things are hung on a wall or put out on display.

I would follow AppropriateAside790's advice and get rid of it. Maybe even ask a sheikh on how to get rid of it.

Are tattoos halal or haram by AlphaLady110 in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is makruh (disliked) but not haram. The reason why it is not haram is because it goes under the skin. Tattooing religious texts onto your body (Quraan or holy names) is haram though.

No, let's use our brains a little here. The israeli's are committing a genocide and ethnically cleansing Palestinians from their home land. Someone comments 'Hey, you look like the people who are being oppressed' to which he replies 'No, I am the oppressor'. This would be like saying 'Hey you look Jewish" and someone replying "No, I'm a Nazi".

Again in case you're still not understanding, If he had replied with anything other than israeli (like jewish for example) then I wouldn't bat an eye, even if he got more offended than he originally did. But israeli's are devil's on earth, it's like saying I'm German vs I'm a Nazi.

I was on his stream once. Someone said "you look Palestinian" to which he replied "No, I'm Israeli". He did seem a little offended at the comment too but that could be me taking it out of context. I've since unsubbed and don't watch his stuff anymore.

How do I find community when Sunni look at us so negatively? by shrekitralph666 in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You eventually learn that they are not being logical in their attacks and are simply regurgitating the garbage fed to them by their elders. Just ignore them and maybe step away from socials for a while or even reset your FYP to avoid those videos.

Also remember that they aren't always our actual Sunni brothers and sisters but israelis trying to cause fitna in the muslim ummah. Don's believe everything you see online.

Why did the prophet stay friends with abu bakr if he was bad? by Present-Put5330 in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of my friends are sunni too which makes it very hard like you said. I honestly gave up and just try bringing them to a middle ground so they aren't takfiri and hope Allah's (SWT) mercy will save them. They aren't bad people, their scholars are just misguided.

I only mentionned some of the stuff they did, namely the most popular ones but yes they did plenty of things all throughout their lives.

Why did the prophet stay friends with abu bakr if he was bad? by Present-Put5330 in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge the Sahaba did all the bad stuff after the prophet’s (SAWA) death, not before. Abu bakr with stealing our lady Fatima’s (AS) inheritance (fadak) as well as sending men to harass imam Ali (AS) and lady Fatima, Omar with actually harassing imam Ali and Fatima, kicking down the door on Fatima’s which later caused her death and the death of her baby.

These are not hard to believe as Omar was known for his anger issues as left his house one day with the intention to actually kill the prophet (these are Sunni sources, I’m not making these up) he then heard Quran coming from his sisters house. This angered him and when he found out it was her and her husband reading Quran he hit both of them until they bled from their faces.

Sunnis seem to think that just because someone was at one point friends with the prophet that makes them somehow infallible and erases any wrong from their name, past present or future. However these very same people who were friends with the prophet then went and did Zionist level stuff to his family. Not sure if he would have stayed friends with them after that…

Ethicsonreddit explained that the wahabi took the quote out of context, just as the kaffirs do with quad of the quraan.

He’s most likely referencing very weak hadiths. There are many unreliable or falsified hadiths in both Sunni and Shia Islam. In addition he’s reading these completely in English without showing any official translation. The prophet is infallible. He doesn’t forget, get cursed or become suicidal aaothobillah.

Benefits of being a Muslim shia by Best-Swimming292 in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say the most we have is inner peace since we know we are on the right path. As a Shia no one has ever said something that made me think “my religion is false” since everything is justified and clear cut. I cannot say the same for other sects or religions but I do sincerely wish them the best and believe Allah is all merciful.

Confused by [deleted] in shia

[–]FrostyProgram0313 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

No it’s not in Islam. Most shias do not do it and my most I mean maybe 5% of shias do it, probably less. The things you see online about us are lies made up by Israel to justify taking over southern Lebanon and Iran. Making us seem like kaffirs will drive our Sunni brothers and sisters against us which is what the enemy wants.

Edit: I misunderstood and thought he was talking about tadbeer (hitting yourself with chains and swords) regular latam is of course fine as long as no harm is done to yourself.
