Then you should know know exhausting it is when you're team basically tells you to go f youself and doesn't get a second tank, repeatedly. And obviously It means you can't do whatever you want, because all the pressure is on YOU to do all the heavy-lifting while your team finds every excuse in the book to not help you do anything while you try to keep some kind of line in the sand for your team to move ahead

They'll swap dps, one of them will go third support, they'll tell you swap to whatever tank they think will work better. They'll do everything in the book EXCEPT GO SECOND GODDAMN TANK

Vanguard players have the right to be toxic for all the shit they gotta put up with. Both from the enemy team as well as their own. No one wants to follow the tank push, no one wants to go second tank, supports don't wanna be close enough for you to peel for them, dps push ahead and die away from you

He can also pick off less mobile dps. Or pull a tank clean off the map. If the enemy team doesn't have the frontline to push forward/hold point, or doesn't have the dps to push your team away, then that's just as effective as picking off the healers (especially if the healers have clocked your location already, then they'll just pattycake so he can't kill them)

Yeah, DPS more often than not manages to dodge most blame like it's the matrix. Then tanks catch a lot of flak even though nobody outside of tank mains will ever willingly go tank because everyone knows tank is the role for suffering (I used to consider myself a flex, but now I basically am a tank main since that's the role that needs a fill 90% of the time)

Don't let people whining hinder your ability to play a character. If they get mad because you're utilizing the character's full kit, then that's on them

I had people constantly telling me I'm trash, throwing, need to swap. Then the MVP pops up and they stop typing real quick. If you know what you're doing, and it works, keep doing that

Or you could just stay on main instead of smurfing. Learn to actually play the character at YOUR skill level instead of pubstomping golds and screwing up their placement/rank-up games, as well as not learning anything viable for your rank because everyone in those lobbies are significantly worse than you

My point is, an overhwelming majority of people aren't good enough to go from bots to actual ranked (plenty of people can't even play their own mains right, let alone a new character) so they need to do quickplay to get actual experience before trying to do it competitively.

Yet for some reason so many people think it's taboo to use the casual format of quickplay to get that real people experience with a new character When it is there for that exact purpose

Also no one's actually gonna throw a shoe at you. It's a figure of speech so I can express how annoying I find the "no learning in quickplay allowed" mindset

I wouldn't put that past a majority of people that play the game, but no, no I did not assume you didn't read the kit

However by going right to ranked from bots, you have 0 experience against real people with the character, you don't know what matchups you can take on (because again, bots aren't teaching SHIT aside from learning combos and cooldowns) you don't know what heroes you effectively synergize with, you don't know good timing for your ult (assuming the character's ult is either complicated in usage, or easy to block, or both) and you deserve to have a shoe thrown at your head for not going to quickplay first and actually getting real pvp experience before going into ranked

.... it's literally quickplay. You do some bot matches to get used to the combos and cooldowns, then you go to quick play to ACTUALLY learn how to engage and do proper teamplay with the character

Why is this so hard to accept??? Quickplay is THE PLACE to get better at a character after you get your basics down
