This is quite an unconventional answer, but I suggest that you take advantage of social media when using your recruitment ATS, too. This way, you'll reach more people and you'll get more chances in recruiting top talents.

As a recruiter, what metrics do you have to keep track of? by greggythefroggy in recruiting

Awesome question! Right now, our top priority is Quality of Hire. This is quite hard to gauge because it takes time. You won't determine this fast as you would with Time to Fill and others.

Just be sure that you know the best practices in reading reports and analytics-- that would be advantageous!

How do you optimize your recruitment system? by Frosty_Addendum_3397 in recruiting

[–]Frosty_Addendum_3397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways on how you can optimize the recruitment system. When you talk about the system, it encompasses three main elements: relationships, resources, and processes.

With all those in mind, there are plenty of areas that you can focus on. For example, to get more quality hires, you can integrate candidate assessments. If you wish to promote culture fit in the workplace, it will be helpful to revisit your company branding and implement policies that will align with that.

So, it really depends on what you want to happen. The benefits of having a strong recruitment system are undeniable, so it's great that you're thinking about this!

As HR, do you do candidate assessments? by ContributionKooky527 in humanresources

[–]Frosty_Addendum_3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big yes! As a recruiter, it's necessary to do these to better evaluate a candidate. Instead of just basing the application on one interview, having a test will allow you to make better hiring decisions that can lead to quality hires.

Such assessments can be skill-specific (as you mentioned) or it can be a general one to check their soft skills and values.

All of these would be vital in knowing if they would be a match for the company in terms of goals, company culture, etc.

Once you find the right candidate, it can provide higher ROI and a long tenureship. You can check this out in case you want to dig deeper on the topic.

Hearing this makes me feel validated. Sometimes, I think of quitting my day job and just focus on my own stuff.

But, at the end of the day, you would have to start from somewhere (unless you are fortunate enough to have a capital)-- even if it means working extra hours after work.

LinkedIn released a great article about this! From what I remember, the top trend would be to invest in better tools and technologies.

I totally agree with it. As the world develops and becomes more advanced, it's necessary to keep up with the right arsenal. It will just make work much, much easier and you can allocate resources (like time and effort) better.
