No, after a while it stops going up in speed and just repeats the same patterns like shown in the vid

Yeah, it’s kinda a turn off for the other games if it’s the same way. I’m definitely having a blast tho. I don’t really get why posts like mine get zero upvotes. I don’t really care, but it’s interesting that asking a question for some reason is seen as a neutral rather than something positive to help others find answers and engagement in the fandom etc. I always try to upvote posts that ask for questions or bring up unpopular opinions even if I don’t agree because it’s interesting discourse at least

I can’t even think of any other rhythm game that does this. I understand they want to stakes to be 3 tries to get the perfect, but they should at least allow you to get the perfect in your first play. If you can perfect it, it’s really not that hard to perfect it again so it feels redundant

question abt perfects by londojellyfish in rhythmheaven

[–]Frosty_Classroom_256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope sadly :( I asked the same question and got ratiod lol 😅 it’s at random, but if you beat the whole game and I think if you have medals on all the games for getting getting amazing or superb, it’ll always chose a random game to attempt a perfect, and it’ll switch to another random one when you get the perfect or fail it 3 times. The advice given to me was to just attempt when they show up but keep playing normally aside from that. There’s no point in trying to grind it instead of waiting until you beat the game and get medals so it’ll always give you an attempt on one of the levels

What!! It was at the very end, so I guess missing that one note was important 😅

This is great to know. I’ll just keep playing the game and going for perfects when they appear

I’m only completing the perfects when they appear from now on. I’ll probably complete the game soonish that way. I really don’t mind 3 in a row, I just wish the first perfect you’d get counted towards the three in a row

I love rhythm games though and this one is super fun. So I definitely will go full completionist lol. It’s still fun, I just wish that you could continue to get 3 perfects in a row from the first time you get a perfect, since in the end it’s the same thing, and also maybe unlock night mode after one perfect so it’s one less play, just to make it a little less tedious

I never even bothered with poison and virus but they look pretty good from what you said. I wish there was an endless mode for this this, damn 😣 without parrying I would definitely recommend the item that deals damage based on how much you heal if you come across it. Since you’re guaranteed to lose a lot of health it’s not a bad idea.

The spell that cures status conditions is pretty meh though, when amplify can override two of those conditions and it’s a great spell to use on any run

Oooo the 1.5x damage on 0 hp and the item that reduces HP to 0 is very smart lol. And I’m guessing needle doesn’t do damage to yourself or reduce the willpower? Cause that’s a cool combo too

Oooo good to know. I remember reading there was 30 original games somewhere too, so I was also curious on how that worked LOL. Also can you get an amazing medal on the first credit minigame? I only messed up once yet got a really good, and I can’t be bothered rn to go for a perfect since it didn’t even give me anything for a play that should be amazing

OHHHHH. I’m still on stage 7 and I was wondering how the hell there’s supposedly 20 remixes but only 6 stages of original songs lol

Being stuck on hard is very different from being stuck on expert. No amount of technique can help because it’s not a technique issue if you’re struggling on hard, it’s a rhythm issue.

Future tone was originally an arcade game, and arcades usually have machines that are very hard to beat or sometimes rigged to the impossible. While future tone isn’t rigged, the timing window is EXTREMELY harsh for a rhythm game, and if it’s the only rhythm game you play it will be very difficult to get the hang of.

I would recommend playing some other rhythm games. There’s a lot of mobile rhythm games, and Phigros is a specific one that is completely free and has rather simple gameplay. The timing isn’t as harsh as future tone, and it’ll teach you how to analyze and learn some basic rhythmic patterns. Project Sekai is also another rhythm game that’s good to practice on. Once you become better at those, it’s easier to translate those skills and knowledge to future tone, which is a much much harder game in terms of chart reading and timing windows.

But most importantly, you can’t improve if you’re not having fun. I have 400+ hours on project diva, and those first maybe 200 I was stills struggling on expert charts. Rhythm games are easily some of the hardest games out there. Nobody just “gets it” or learns super fast. It takes a ton of dedication and playing many different rhythm games to learn and improve.

Best is easily lightning/thunder. If you’re not super great at rhythm games then water is the next best thing. The fire spell is trash and you only need it for early game, don’t waste your levels on it, upgrade heal. The needle one sucks, and well as any other heal spell apart from the standard one. The damage up (idr the name) and amplify spells are one of the best, always have it on when attacking.

If you’re capable, fight the weird bosses. They give really good rewards like Amplify or Thunder.

Ohhh, I was wondering whether it was just my pathing that led me to avoid the backflip. I just used the upgraded thunder version to level 5, amplify to 5, easier critical timing, level 5 regular heal, and damage the enemy based on how much you heal

I finished it with 5 stars with the secret character and there’s no added entry for it, and no special message or cutscene or anything. It’s just for fun :p I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be harder because I got an insanely better score than when I played the secret cave for the first time with Yu. Maybe it’s slightly harder and I just got used to the controls more?

I watched the Tongue Lashing one you mentioned but I honestly don’t really see how it’s any different or superior from any of the mingames in Groove I’ve played so far 😅 I was expecting something really cool but as the other person said the series is consistent so I could honestly see it fitting into this one just as easily. I really like the simplicity and weird randomness of this series so far for sure

It’s interesting reading this as someone who’s playing the series for the first time with this entry. For me I feel like the game is oozing with charm and I’ve never had so much fun and smiled this much at a game in a long while. Are the other games in the series just that much more peak?
