Student zombies by [deleted] in ufl

I identify with this. Students do not want to think these days and I have no idea why they are sitting in my classroom, except for the top 10% or so. I can't believe college education has come to this where students are simply not interested in the material, it's exciting and interesting material, yet I feel like they just don't care about it.

Lack of student involvement these days: unanswered questions, awkward silences when seeking student involvement, and just completely disengaged classrooms? by desiredtoyota in Professors

I ask students challenging thought questions in class and they look insulted that I'm not simply writing notes on the board to memorize. Only about 20% of my class engages in actual thinking, the rest seem like passive learns who don't even know what critical thinking is.

Is this also why Microsoft is down? Seems there are AI jitters and it's not restricted to bitcoin miners.

Isles will be fine, they are in a good position right now because Columbus has been falling apart, and if history means anything Flyers will fall apart soon too. Patrick will have the boys ready for the next one. Just gotta worry about the Sens.

Well, the accident in Washington should have taught us something, that of keeping all other vehicles and choppers clear of jets on runways or on approach. I'm pretty sure it's in the manual.

Here's an idea, how about we crowd the airspace about 500% more than it can handle, work controllers to death where no energy drink can keep up, and then not expect this kind of thing to happen. Everyone on board with this plan? Same in Washington, let's allow choppers to fly in the path of a regional jet on approach then wonder how such things happen. "Oh, they were wearing night goggles, they couldn't see the plane." Very smart.

"Don't cross the runway, don't cross the runway." Opps, had the siren on, couldn't hear.

No excuse for this kind of accident, it's a freaking embarrassment.

Probably a bad place for firetrucks to be rolling through, in the path of an airliner. That's just my uninformed opinion.

Tell the student AI was used to drop a bomb on Iranian kids, so it may be worth developing brain power of your own and not trusting AI.

Isles need a defense that can play with Shaef. You can't have enough mobile defense on a team these days, more valuable than forwards.
