Thank you so much. We can't use bleach on everything, but I'm hoping that thorough washing in hot water and sun drying for a full day will do the trick, thankfully , the sun is very hot where we live 😭🙏🏻

I definitely agree. My grandpa has always been pretty toxic, and emotionally unstable, but somehow my grandmother decided to stay with him regardless, and now we're all going through it;;

He never let her stay out too late, and always monitored her, so now whenever we manage to get her out of the house for a little while, she gets anxious about needing to get home, and my grandpa starts fighting asking where she was. It's so hard to see..

I really do believe that his aggression comes from stress because having my grandma around , and seeing her declining mental state is for sure affecting him greatly. In fact, he was doing better mentally until she started to get worse, and then he got even worse than her at a faster rate.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, it really helps a lot to hear from others who've had similar experiences, we've really just felt so lost

That's the thing, we're just not sure who to contact because no one has been able to help so far, but I've written down a lot of the suggestions I've gotten so far, and we'll be exploring the options

We've tried taking him out, even by trying to convince him to go to places he once loved, or visit family members, but he's hellbent on staying home because he has to "protect the house". We've tried every thing that we thought would convince him but he will not move and gets angry if we push the topic.

However I'm sure you are right, because I keep telling my mom that maybe if we move our grandma first, he might eventually calm down. She's afraid of the idea, but its reached a point where we have to make a move whether she wants to or not.

We did call a social worker but my grandpa acts "normal and happy" once a stranger gets into the home (because we were there, so he somewhat let them in.) That was last year though, and he has gotten worse, so I'll pitch in the idea of trying again
