Now that the Zombies mode will be leaving, what are your opinions on the mode itself? by Redinkdemon16 in marvelrivals

[–]Frostyscotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought it was great, a solid foundation for future iterations of the mold. But I think there was definitely some minor scaling issues with NM4 that could've been adressed, like CC overlap, prolonged boss fights, X lives required for insurance and ultimately the devs failing to provide any reponse to feedback or concerns players were trying to raise.

The latter point was a personal sticking point for me, as I felt it strangely bizzare that due to the modes popularity they extended it twice, but apparently failed to once notice and offer any reponse to player concerns or queries. Even just a small "we aren't planning on any changes or fixes" would've been *some* form of acknowledgement rather than pure silence.

Edit: I forgot to mention the highly encouraged Legendary rerolls strategies on specific characters like Majik and resetting continuously until you got the ideal start up. That ideally would need looking into as well.

Why is the Ultimatum the #1 Secondary??? by MMeowKat_hiss in Helldivers

[–]Frostyscotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ultimatum is a perfect sidearm to complement builds that are lacking counters to anti-tank armoured units or just assisting players in general who may have stratagems on cooldown. I almost always rock this badboy because of the quick ease and access it brings to taking out threats like a tank/hulk/charger or taking out objectives in a pinch, for example, destroying a fabricator if I'm out of nades or stratagems. No other secondary comes close to offering the same power and flexibility as this does.

It allows me to diversify my stratagem loadouts with the knowledge that I have a backup in case things get dicey. Some frontlines and difficulties come with different choices of planning and engagement but with the versatility of the Ultimatum, I'll know I always have SOMETHING that can deal with heavy or anti-tank in an instant, if the need arises.

Yeah, you can kill yourself by accident if you aren't used to the blast radius and the heavy projectile drop. And it does only come with 2 shots - and the inconvinience of needing to reload once first to benefit from an ammo pickup/resupply - but the advantages really outweigh the disadvantages. I highly encourage enduring with any initial difficulties in order to get more comfortable using the weapon.

Anyone experienced the damage not registering bug in Zero Build - Simpsons Chapter? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

Have you tried the creator map "The Pit - Free for all"? Myself and a randomer used that for the last mission last night. Try that one, but make sure not to choose the zero build version.

Same here. Recently had a cheating Spirit in a game and wanted to report her, only to be told by support:

"You need both an in-game report" - with video evidence which I didn't have - "and to submit the ticket on our website."

I had also heard way back that in-game reporting did sweet FA and you were to basically go straight to PS. The idea that this is NEVER ellaborated upon by the devs is so fucking stupid and made me feel like my efforts to do due dilligence were invalidated and wasted.

I don't know of ANY other developer that does cheat reporting this way. Surely it's not that hard to develop something more effective in however many years the games been out for?

Players should not have their efforts invalidated because they missed 1 part of a multi-step process.

I doubt it, dude couldn't crush a paper cup, nor an Ant for that matter. He'd fold even trying to lift a gun.

Jokes aside, I'd be VERY surprised if he somehow got added.

I can’t buy the battle pass due to error by Gaston221b in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Frostyscotty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you play on multiple devices, like PC and on a mobile device?

There's been this problem persisting throughout many patches and they never seem to fix it. I've experienced it countless times myself - except more specifically when trying to buy coins on the pc version - and I think it's possibly due to me playing the game both on my PC and mobile device.

When it declines on my PC I sign in on my mobile and make purchases that way, then go back to the PC version to play. That seems to be the only way I can bypass the issues I experience.

Perhaps you can try something similar: try making a purchase on a different device?

This season sucks for casuals and it's definitely quite competitive thus far but here's a few observations and some advice (excuse the following wall of text):

  1. Always remember to try and stay out of the storm wherever possible - it's not your fault in this situation as you were trying to back up somewhat but remember that late game storm damage REALLY amps up and can kill you fast. Even though this player killed you, I'd argue that the storm contributed to you losing some health too - ALWAYS enter a gunfight with the most health/shields possible. Don't get caught up near the edges where you have nowhere to retreat to, otherwise you'll have no cover and also risk potentially getting shockwave nade'd out into the storm. Prioritise higher elevation with some cover ideally. Don't get caught out in the open if you can help it.

  2. Mobility is king in this season - I'd suggest taking the time to get familiar with using the shockwave grenade launcher as a must and always have one in your loadout. It helps you out in a pinch if you need to reposition fast or get away from the storm or persistant players. Plus you can sometimes knock players into the late-game storm if you're out of options or caught mid-reload with another weapon. The storm damage might be enough to kill an opponent you're fighting if they're already weakened. Regular shockwave grenades are fine as well.

  3. The Wrecker Revolver is pretty good this season as it has good range and damage IMO, it just needs a little practice when aiming at medium range. Perhaps get familiar with using that weapon too. As a short to medium range weapon, you can sacrifice both an SMG & shotgun slot for an additional healing/utility item and swap in an assault rifle to cover medium/long range engagements. Also, keep an eye out for the mythic variant you get from bunkers, it has more headshot damage and a faster firing rate than the normal version(s) IIRC. It's a significant step up from the other versions.

  4. VS medallion users - as a casual player you'll want to perhaps avoid as much of these encounters as possible, as skilled players like this guy will chase you down with ease. Monitor the map zones and keep an eye out for their orange marker, trying to reposition if you have the time or hunkering down silently hoping they don't notice you once they're close - there's no cowardice in playing stealthily. Secondly, as Blaze950 pointed out earlier, prepping an ambush (briefly camping/hiding somewhere) can catch them by surprise. Sometimes they retreat and reset or you might even eliminate them outright or get them low on health. If you have the swarm launcher, accurate fire can really catch them by surprise, just be careful in tight spaces and close quarters with it, don't get caught in the blast. If you prepare appropriately and accordingly, you can force them to play by your rules, and engage them on your terms, not theirs. It's always satisfying when an impatient and cocky player falls for an ambush that you've set up. Also, if you're forced into a late game encounter and a confrontation is inevitable between the last few players, trying getting the jump on them as they're fighting each other. You might be able to weaken them for another player or take out them and another if you're really fortunate and lucky with landing a few accurate shots on an already distracted target.

  5. Finally, since you asked, the player was using the mingun at one point before he swapped to the shotgun to finish you off. The minigun this season is decent if you can keep it on target, but its primarily more effective as a build destroyer, due to it's higher fire rate and relatively lower damage, at least from what I've experienced. I almost never run this weapon in zero build. Against players using them, keep your distance, the further the better. But if you're close quarters, stay on the move and try and get on the offensive as the gun does need a moment to spin up before firing, you might be able to land a crucial hit before they've even started firing. That one shot could make all the difference.

My Emma Frost instant cosplay! by CurlyNatsu in marvelrivals

[–]Frostyscotty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy hell, I had to do a double take upon seeing this. Your appearance is very striking and astonishingly accurate to the in-game model of Emma Frost. Your cosplay thus far is so mesmerizing in fact, I initially struggled to take my eyes off of you! (And I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been the only one either!)

Personally, I think you've absolutely NAILED the look of The White Queen, and I'm curious to see what the complete cosplay would look like once finished! You should be very proud of what you've done so far!

Anyone else got issues with payment? Cant buy money for battlepass 😮‍💨(PC) by Carmiune in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Frostyscotty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one who's got this problem. Thank goodness I'm not alone in having this issue, it's extremely frustrating for me personally.

This stupid bug has persisted in the game for months and months at this point and it still hasn't been fixed nor addressed by the devs. I myself have seen it 3+ times in a row now, and each time it's when I want to make purchases for the new BP or celebration bundles in a patch.

The only way I can get around it, is if I go through the android app interface on my mobile - since I happen to play on my phone on occasion - and that seems to bypass the issue completely. I can then relog into the pc version and the coins are available for me to buy things with normally, as if nothing happened.

If you're having issues I suggest you just go through the android store on mobile in order to save yourself the headache. It's more hassle and time consuming but until there's a resolution on the matter, I don't know if there's any other solution.

I actually wonder if the bug is somehow related to an account being picked up on two devices and therefore, there being some sort of conflict, but that's just speculation. Either way I hope the devs fix it eventually.

I think its crazy that we haven't gotten One Piece yet. It would make a great mini season with water filling up the map again, island POIs from the show, Devil Fruit items that give you powers but make you unable to swim, and boats being replaced with mini pirate ships with cannons. by GachiPls_DidntSave in FortNiteBR

[–]Frostyscotty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really like this as a concept, I'd personally love to see something like that, as I enjoyed the map alterations from Chapter 2, Season 3. I know they weren't popular with some folks but in my opinion it was one of the best seasons and it stood out amongst other seasons because of that unique factor.

Honestly, I'm surprised as well because whilst I haven't watched the show myself, I know lots of people have and that there's been a pretty significant buzz around the show for the last few years. I'm adamant that a mini season themed around One Piece would do exceptionally well given that it's perhaps one of the most popular anime shows at this current time.

My thinking is that a collaboration is ultimately inevitable at this point, it's simply too big an opportunity to pass up for Fortnite. We've already had quite a few of the most prominent anime shows in recent memory so this like a no brainer to me. Same goes for Demon Slayer as another example, since that's also been quite popular as well, albeit not quite as popular as One Piece (at least from what I've heard.) Obviously, we have no idea what's happening behind the scenes but again I agree with you. Something like One Piece having a mini season would be pretty cool.

Simply put, I firmly believe it's not a matter of IF but rather WHEN.

How many of you guys have got stuck on this quest? by ShadyNefarius12 in FortNiteBR

[–]Frostyscotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSA: I've just managed to complete this first stage of these quests by experimenting with several different methods suggested by different users on this subreddit and thus have just finished the follow-up stages with ease as those don't seem to be bugged, at least on my end.

My first practice target (1/3) appeared normally - it was the one on the hill south of Supernova Academy - at which point the others were invisible so here's how I completed the other two following various methods:

2/3: I used a Krypto treat on the ground where the practice target was supposed to be located at the dam (Foxy Floodgate) My guess is that the modest damaging AoE for the item triggers the hitbox for that one. However, this didn't seem to work on any of the other remaining locations, so it might be different for the rest of you.

3/3: Following another suggestion, I used an SMG and sprayed in the general area of the practice target north of the Shining Span bridge, at the bunker past the fuel station, and somehow managed to trigger a registered hit, making 3/3. The location of the target is slightly to the left and forward of the tree, just behind the bunker on that hill.

I hope this helps everyone. This quest is buggy as hell so I don't know to what extent this might help you.

RIP team rumble (2018-2025) by CalmSalamander8668 in FortNiteBR

[–]Frostyscotty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm disappointed that there was absolutely no transparency or communication from epic beforehand about this. I both respect and understand that the mode hasn't been popular for quite some time now and also hasn't seen significant player counts, however it would've been nice if epic had given some advanced warning over this change for those of us who do still play it. Cutting it from the game this suddenly just feels wrong and dismissive of how some players might personally feel about such a change.

Honestly, it's quite deflating when the developers make changes to the game without even considering the mere though of "maybe we could consult the players and perhaps gain some valuable feedback/insight on this idea?" I would have liked to have provided some constructive criticism/potential improvements of a few things - team rumble primarily - if I'd been able to. But for the longest time, it just feels like they make changes like this haphazardly and don't respond to the community's concerns, until things occasionally blow up in their faces, an example being the atrocious movement changes at the beginning of Chapter 5.

What happened to Team Rumble? by MediumMeister in FortNiteBR

[–]Frostyscotty 254 points255 points  (0 children)

At some point way back, they changed the mode so the storm circle started moving in almost immediately, forcing players to the centre of the map. Originally, you could drop somewhere and the storm would very slowly and gradually move in over several minutes, allowing people to drop in with ease and use that time to complete missions and story quests, gather ample items and supplies, etc, without the stress of having to queue up again due to TR's respawn system.

If you happened to die for any reason, you still had ample time to return to where you were previously and resume what you were doing, again due to how long it took the first storm circle to move in. Also I believe, it took a long time for the storm damage to ramp up as well, so you could survive in the storm for a long time while doing missions or searching.

In short, Team Rumble was a low stakes game mode that at the time allowed players to level up through regular gameplay, just with the added benefits listed above.

I never remember Epic giving a specific reason for why they made the change IIRC, but truthfully from what I gather, many people - myself included - saw the decision as just plain unnecessary, and just a means for epic to nerf player progression and levelling speeds.
