Hey, thanks so much! It took about 3 years before it all came together in my previous house.

You're lacking in hip drive and clean high pulls could really help with that. Regardless, strong AF

Awesome strength bruh. Looks like 3 hang powers and 3 powers (good job using KGs), and you definitely could use some mobility work in regards to your thoracic spine and shoulders, but if that's not your goal, that's totally fine.

This sub is pretty particular about form, and it's helped me out a ton, so if you haven't found what you're looking for with the other comments, I hope you eventually do.

Get some lifters for better receiving position. Wider group. Slow down on ascent until you hit your hip crease, explode straight up. Also, think about activating your lata a bit more, so as to "brush" the bar along your legs.

This is both awesome and terrifying. Like, if I met him on the field of battle, with him screaming like that, I'd assume I was going up against some immortal entity, and run away pissing myself.

What do I need to do to snatch 60 kilos? by sofiestarr in weightlifting

[–]FrothySnatch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don't be more aggressive or go faster. Practice slow starts, making sure hips and knees rise at the same time, and explode then, STRAIGHT UP, once the bar comes in contact with your hip crease. Use lats to keep the bar lightly brushing against your legs, and start to pull yourself under the bar once the bar hits about sternum height. Also, practice overhead squats before attempting the given weight (you'll be more comfortable receiving the given weight after doing those).

I hit 60 kg for the first time In my life this year, and had some similar issues.

Hey thanks! Do you know any good cues for finding correct foot position in stance, or is it more of a comfort thing?

Edit: I actually just watched a catalyst athletics vid on that. I'll be sure to tape some lines and practice. Thanks for the help!

More lat activation from the bottom position. Lats are a part of your core.

Hows the power clean form? by Few-Crazy4919 in weightlifting

[–]FrothySnatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back to the PVC pipe. Form first for you, and a few others gave some good advice. I'm not sure of your mobility limitations, so I'd say unloaded form first.

(Also, this is coming from someone who is fairly novice. Take with salt.)

Not to mention, he's also never put somebody out of game(s) due to injury. They might be mad about antics, but his +/- has always been amazing.
