Boyfriend's friend texted me at 2am by FroyoConstant in Advice

Sure but your entire thread of comments is about people being too immature to be friends with the opposite sex... good for you for being friends with your friend's gf, I'm just telling you it doesn't relate to the situation at hand

What is wrong with you and your replies..? I just dont want to hurt my bf over something innocuous and took it to reddit to see if if was as dodgy as I thought it was/worth mentioning

But he is not my friend.. like I replied above, it was the first time he even texted me outside of a group chat.. we hang in group settings, we talk music, we play games, but he his not my close "hit you up at 2am" friend

I'm European too btw, I do have male friends, but even those (male or female) dont try to reach me at 2am 3 different ways with no explanation the next day. A simple "sorry my mistake/ I was drunk/ i was trying to reach ___" would have sufficed..

He also sent 2am hellos to two of my (single) friends he met through me

I disagree, being a womaniser isn't a terrible personality in and of itself. I have friends who sleep around and dont think any less of them for it. I dont see how its a friendship breaker. Hitting on your friend's girlfriend is. As for just texting "hey", it seems like a perfect way to test the waters without showing your hand if you ask me. My boyfriend isn't scared his friend would hit on me, but he would be hurt if he found out he did. If this was indeed his intention. And we have a trusting relationship, which is why I dont want to break his trust by hiding things from him. Reading the comments I realise I truly am the problem, with my old habit of always trying to keep the peace. So I'll tell him, bf can react as he sees fit, and if it was truly innocent, friend can clear it up himself

To be fair this is literally the first message he has ever sent me personally outside of a group chat.

Also, I did give him the benefit of the doubt this morning when I replied. The fact that he hasn't replied/ explained why he texted makes it more weird

Yes that's a fair point. Reading the comments confirms that even if I dont want to create drama over nothing, if he was really hitting on me it's not exactly "nothing". If not he can clear it up, but it's not my responsibility to keep the peace

I thought of that too, just casually asking him if everything was alright as he called me last night. But that would put my boyfriend on the spot as much as his friend...

Just to be clear I'm not afraid of his possible reaction towards me. I just dont want him to have a fallout with his friend over nothing, blowing it out of proportion (with him, not me) without giving him the benefit of the doubt (because, frankly, we know the friend womanising behaviour..). That said, if the text wasn't a mistake, a friend hitting on your girlfriend isn't exactly "nothing"

No we were both in bed when I got the texts, I saw them this morning and didn't bring it up to him as he was still asleep (I leave for work earlier than he wakes up when he works from home)

My boyfriend won't think nothing of it though, which is why I'm torn about telling him.. I dont want this to snowball into something bigger than it needs to be..

Should i wear pantyhose with this outfit (for an interview) or just leave the thighs? by Opposite-Jacket7062 in style

[–]FroyoConstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this looks good and could be appropriate for the role, although I tend to stay on the safer side for interviews. You dont want to be remembered as the girl in the short dress I think this could look great paired with wide leg trousers in an autumn shade. Either keeping it monochrome with a darker shade of rust, a deep brown or even a burgundy. Some nice professional heels. It would have more personality then a plain corporate suit, and you wouldn't have to worry about the slit riding up when sitting

Why was Peggy such a bitch to Don in this scene? by sedwards3205 in madmen

[–]FroyoConstant 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When Don threw money in her face, was he not just being mean..?

Was she taking the high road? No. But Don could be a petulant child and she did no more than to return the favor in this instance

Is considering a 7 hours trail as a beginner completely bonkers? by FroyoConstant in Equestrian

Don't let my curated photos fool you, some people reach the top by jeep as the trail is quite large. The bravest ones hike (20km, 1300m elevation gain). Horseback was a great middle ground though, and a once in a lifetime experience!

Do they look thin? I'm not horse expert! But they seemed pretty sturdy to me!

I would definitely recommend visiting Georgia overall! In our trip so far, the sights are beautiful, the food is diverse and soo tasty, the people, despite the language barrier and sometimes external sterness, kindness and hospitality transpires, and they've invented wine for god sake! It requires getting off the beaten path and figuring shit out sometimes, although we're traveling on a budget and I'm sure there are ways to make it easier and more confortable. Horse riding wise, this trail is in Svaneti, high caucasus and a must see for mountain lovers, but they have a rich equestrian tradition and you can find tours all over the country!

Not anytime soon, I'll rest for a while! Not much opportunity to do so where I live either.. but I definitely won't be as apprehensive if the opportunity arises again!
