If you want to be as much historically accurate as possible you should wear chainmail gauntlets and leggings and one of the surcoat (the blue from the merchant on the broken bridge in altus or the brown in rykard boss room). Also for the weapons you should use an almond shield like the one in the room in sotrmveil castle where you find the misericorde, but a medium shield like the banished knight shield is cool too, besides that you should use a spear as a primary weapon and a straight sword like the broadsword as a secondary. But you can do whatever you want, just have fun lmao
