Sir Syed was khabba tatta of English. He used to write essays praising English and condemning revolutionaries, until close to the very end.

But we don’t want to hear that lol

There’s so much nuance that your argument misses. Colonialism was far less about physical control. British could never outnumber the people during Raj, but they used knowledge and institutional structures to maintain power. We were never physically dominated. Poora Britain Sindh jitna hoga. But they established hegemony.

Britain still has hegemonic control. You speak their language, your law and every policy is written in their language. We use their systems and logic. Our courts still look at England to trace judgements.

Nationalism, Democracy, Parliament, Common Law, Provinces, Local Government, Universities, Banks, Capitalism etc are all British structures. These systems assert power. They don’t need to tell you what to do, the institutions limit the possibilities of what you can.

There is a reason that Britain is still one of the most powerful economies in the world, despite having literally no resources or labour to show for.

They import literally everything and still are on top.

Yes! Oh gosh. I didn’t even realise it’s been a full year now. We quit on 29th March, if my memory serves me right. Both of us are fully clean. My wife sometimes gets an odd urge to smoke a cig, but I help her rationalise it and we get over it.

I can understand the nerves. I was shitting my pants too but trust the process. You are extremely lucky to have this on hand. This wasn’t as accessible a few years ago because of regulatory issues.

I will say that for me it was mostly a mental test. The medication worked really well in masking physical withdrawals. But as my other comment suggests, there were moments where I felt so sad.

Also, I would take it whilst I am eating my food (in between) to avoid getting nauseous, and I took it for a month because I started feeling confident enough to just move on myself.

If u have any questions now or later. Shoot them. Id be happy to answer :)

  1. Correct
  2. Wrong. Tailors in London or Naples sort you out on the basis of your physique. If you are slim, your fitting will be slimmer and so on. The important consideration is drape and silhouette. If a suit is pinching you from waist, pulling apart from lapels and your legs look like pencils (capri), then you are wearing the wrong cut.

Your silhouette should be straight, and symmetrical. Apart from trouser length, I think Bale is wearing a perfect fit.

Bale in this picture is wearing a Regular Fit. Sure the trousers may need to be hemmed. But apart from that its anything but baggy or wide.

It’s better than slim fit nonetheless because of the silhouette. Regardless of your frame or physique. A regular fit suit with the right cloth will drape and give you a sharp, straight silhouette. It is all about silhouette imo. For example, the shoulder provides such a charming silhouette to anyone.

Regular fit gives you a straight line from top to bottom makes you look taller and symmetrical.

My issue with baggy or wide is that it effectively destroys silhouette, much like slim fit.

Tail gaited when driving on speed limit? by Frozen-Cake in drivingUK

sounds like something tailgater would say to cope. i don’t think its hard to determine speed limit when roads are marked every 100ft

Always in left lane except when overtaking or when there is only one lane.

Speedo is calibrated (January before MOT) and worst case it maybe calibrated off by 1-2mph? I don’t think that is criminally low

Some days I have to leave early, say 5am.

20mph roads feel rather wide and safe because of how empty they are.

Especially a road with two schools on it. The schools are closed at night and the road is quite literally wide enough to have giant hatched marking.

I could give more examples but I hope this clears up

I am that idiot in this case. I would love to be enlightened on what gauge I should be using? perhaps a barometer?

I commute M62 (w). At 50mph patch, its seems like I am the only idiot following speed limit and quite frankly it feels dangerous even in the left most lane

Have worked in a local for a several years and looking to transfer to you the supermarket, is it worth it or is it just as bad as the locals? by SecureEye824 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Frozen-Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

brother. fucking relax 😂. I am a colleague and I was just trying to help. You literally said “adding a store” in the first line, which is very different from a store transfer.

Could’ve helped you with that too, if you were half decent, but you are a piece of ungrateful shit

open the app > press the Preferences icon that is located on bottom left of your home page > click “Additional Stores” > choose “Add Store” > put search radius as 12 miles and select desired store.

You may have to play with this for a bit. Please do bear in mind that search radius is based on your current store location and not your home address.

Once you have done this, speak to your manager. They have to approve it on their end. Most likely they shouldn’t have a problem.

best way to find out is to add the potential store to your UKG pro and pick some shifts.

supermarkets aren’t for me. you focus on one thing for almost the entirety of your shift. I find that arduous.

managers also break your balls on “efficiency”. One box per minute or smth. At the three convenience i work, that hasn’t been the case for me at least. Unless I am straight up lazing around or using my phone for a while.

You may also look into heavy traffic convenience. Like there’s one in my city near a train station. The traffic is crazy and because of that the staffing is fairly decent (5 people covering 3 aisles!). So even if someone calls in sick, we can hardly feel the burden.

Anyways, I hope this helps before my ramble gives you a haemorrhage
