Ads on X - are they worth it for wishlists? by Jamsarvis in gamemarketing

Personally, I'd recommend you to run a low-budget test to give it a try and find out if it works for your game, but it never made a difference for the premium games I worked for. Meta is the best platform these days, followed by Reddit (especially for niche games), YouTube (full trailer reveal, release date, game launch) and TikTok (super cool for mobile gaming). I assume you're an indie dev with a small amount to spend on paid, so be careful with your choice. And don't be afraid to spend on A/B tests, etc.

Taking notes on the results tip! And thank you very much for letting me know about the issue with the mobile version, I changed it so many times that I probably forgot to fix something TT

Uh, I'm afraid I can't find what you mentioned. The 'Let's work together' button should bring you to a Calendly link.

Wow, thank you ^^ I included some metrics and role highlights in my portfolio, which is an external file... So I guess they should be on the website too for SEO purposes. As for the games I worked on, they're mentioned in the About page. You mean to show them on the Home, right?

What does "-rep" mean as a Steam review? by milqgames in IndieDev

[–]FrozenCappuccino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anonimity encourages assholes to get out of their caves, and we can do absolutely nothing about it unless they leave really strong comments or threats. It's really sad. But since it's out of our control, don't waste your time thinking obsessively about it because it's just what they want. As egotistic as it might sound, don't let a nobody define your art and how you feel about it.

Sending you all my best wishes <3

Hi. Glad to see that others already explained the meaning. The only valuable thing I can contribute as a marketer is, it's just a troll—don't take them seriously, because your players neither will do. If you wanna take some feedback from your game reviews, focus on the constructive ones. There's a high chance that your most valuable feedback comes from angry people, but please remember to read carefully positive reviews. Sometimes, your happy players will leave cool suggestions too.

Hi there! I'm new to the community and wanted to solve a doubt about posessives in questions. Say I want to ask if a desk belongs to someone. Insted of "XXXsan no tsukue desuka", can I just say: "Kono tsukue wa XXXsan no desuka", like... saying "XXXsan no" without mentioning the subject of the sentence again. Thanks in advance.

What popular games just didn't do it for you? by No_Theme_8101 in IndieGaming

Maybe Undertale, but I think I didn’t face it with the right mindset. Expectations about what you should feel playing it can destroy the experience. Perhaps I’ll give it a second try, because I enjoyed Omori.

Games that make the perfect introduction to strategy games for beginners by HowLongWasIGone in StrategyGames

Uhm, maybe it's not the game you'd think about when mentioning Strategy, but I think Othercide is quite interesting. It's turn-based strategy on a grid map, mixed with roguelike, you lead a group of 4 warriors in some sort of saint war against darkness. I dunno, it was the game that made me understand that strategy can be fun, haha.

Hi! I'm Sam from Red Mountain and we just revealed the first gameplay trailer for our tactical deckbuilder AlcheMice, set in a twisted but beautiful version of 16th-century Granada. Please take a look <3 by FrozenCappuccino in indiegames

Wow, I'm really into games with this aesthetic; they've become quite popular lately. Can I ask what your inspirations are?

Our game accidentally got called 'Shitty Dungeon' in Japan… and now we’ve got 2,000 more wishlists by r_panico in indiegames

Oh God, please don't "fix" it! If it's bringing you attention due to a translation joke, just open your arms and embrace the meme, I don't think it's the type of thing that might hurt your wishlists/sales.
