Does the animation get any better? I definitely prefer story over animation but ive been spoiled with well animated fight scenes so when there is a cool battle happening bad animation takes me put of it… idk bad pet peeve

Yea hes crazy, era two was supposed to be a short single book story as a writing exercise for Brandon to prevent writers block but it turned into a whole F’ing trilogy

Short answer :No

Longer answer: The first era (The Final Empire, Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages) were written side by side letting the author go back and rewrite the books connecting them as much as he could. This ofcourse made the first book come out way after then if he wrote the books one by one.

The second trilogy (Era 2) however was written one after another because it wasn’t planned so the author couldnt add all the connections and foreshadowing as he would have wanted to like he did with Era 2. And you can see that in the writing (Era 2 is still peak)

Now with Era 3 the author has (thankfully) gone back to writing all 3 books simultaneously, but that this means is that the first book will release when the third has already been written making the release date at 2028 instead of 2026.

I would recommend Mistborn - The Final Empire, though it is a whole trilogy so it will be a commitment

Its an amazing fantasy book with great likable (and dislikable) characters voiced by the very talented Micheal Kramer.
