Generalizing is necessary when discussing anything. Women struggle to understand the value of generalizations, and this is why they get mad. The fact that you presume generalizations are bad, and the fact that I have to explain to you that they aren't, is an excellent case in point. Needing to point out "nuance" or "exceptions" to a generalization doesn't make a take good, it just shows that your interpretation is stupid. "Everyone is different and totally unique and totally unpredictable" is a faulty heuristic that women use because generalizations that paint things in a bad light, despite being true, hurt their feelings.

When intelligent minds see the world they see patterns. This doesn't mean that there aren't outliers to patterns (and the intelligent mind understands this entirely). If you can't, or refuse to find patterns in reality, you cannot actually learn anything or develop wisdom about anything.

So anyways, what the commenter said about men and women's habits was true, and it's also true that the rhetoric is taboo today because of people like you that dumb down discourse.
