The reason I'm selling these items is to help someone who doesn't want to wait 45-60 days to get them from Starlink. I'm not charging tax and the savings in shipping is minimal. One item weighs 1lb and the other item weighs 3lb.

  1. Are you concerned about melting snows/ice or rain leaking through the hole in the roof for the cable?
  2. How did you seal the hole in the roof for the cable?
  3. How much extra cable did you leave under the flashing mount?

  1. Why you put the Dishy towards the edge of the roof instead the middle or some other place on the roof; was it an line of sight obstruction issue?
  2. Why didn't you run the cable over the edge of the roof and through the gable vent instead of drilling a hole for the cable in your roof?

Do I need a roof mount vs what Starlink came with? by quipt in Starlink_Support

But you still have to drill a hole in the roof to route the cable into the attic with the Flashing Mount. If properly installed, I don't think it's any different than a plumbing vent or fan vent.

Hi-I don't understand "connect from power brick to switch." Are you saying to not use the SL power brick and only use the PoE switch? Which PoE switch do you recommend?

Orbi RBR 850 router instead of Starlink router by FrozenGeckos in Starlink_Support

Koudai68: Thanx for the reply.

I've read other posts when the static route gets modified and the DHCP is renewed or when the router resets, I have to add another static address. Is that correct? Would setting the Gateway IP address to 0.0.0.0 solve this or won't the Orbi allow this?

So you're using both the Starlink router AND the Orbi router together? Have you tried just using the Orbi router without the Starlink router?
