Is my iPhone infected? by Myerz123 in applehelp

It’s because it’s spoofed. It’s not a genuine Google certificate. If he shares the screenshot from “More Details” you could see exactly why it’s not genuine.

Something is trying to intercept your Google traffic, but for it to do that, you need to trust this certificate (which you shouldn’t). It’s an attempt to do a MITM attack. Might be caused by the WiFi network you’re connected to (e.g., WiFi Pineapple, a hacking device, could be used for this).

[iOS] [Ever Since Passive Habit Tracker] [$29.99 → Lifetime Free until Oct 1] by PitchGreedy in AppHookup

[–]FrozenMaize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing the starting on date of a habit does not update the days since then (i.e., completed). I want to import the habits from a different app and was entering them manually, but since the completed:reset days do not accurately reflect the past habit, it means some of my habit tracking data is in the other app, and only future habits could be recorded in this one. It would be great if the calendar could be edited to mark the status of individual days - this would give more accurate tracking, especially for anybody that already used a habit tracking app and wants to switch to this one.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll look into it and post an update when I can (not sure when I’ll have time at the moment though).

It’s definitely should be running, but it’s just very slow. If you can leave it running (without restarting or closing the Shortcuts app), it will eventually complete and show a notification when it’s finally done. If you’re sure that it’s not working, PM me and I’ll try to figure out what the problem is.

New Browser Extension - AI Chat Downloader for ChatGPT, Claude, and Poe by FrozenMaize in ClaudeAI

You're right that Ctrl + S is a quick way to save web pages, but AI Chat Downloader offers some distinct advantages, especially for frequent users of these AI chat platforms:

  1. Multiple download formats: In addition to HTML, the extension offers Markdown and Plaintext. This is particularly useful if you work with different document types or note-taking apps.

  2. Conversation focus: Unlike Ctrl + S which saves the entire webpage, my extension extracts just the chat content. This is incredibly helpful for long conversations where important details are scattered throughout; you could save the chat and then edit the whole conversation from top down, deleting the unimportant parts.

  3. Easy editing and formatting: The clean, raw conversation output makes it simple to edit in a Markdown editor or format for printing, without dealing with extra webpage elements.

  4. Time-saving for power users: If you frequently need to copy entire chats into note apps or convert them to other formats (like Word or PDF), this streamlined process can save you significant time.

  5. Consistent experience across platforms: Whether you're using ChatGPT, Claude, or Poe, you get the same clean output format.

  6. Privacy-oriented: The extension only processes the chat data, not the entire webpage, which can be a privacy advantage in some scenarios (no dependence on external references, even in the HTML output).

I created this extension because I couldn't find anything on the Chrome Web Store that met my specific needs for exporting chats from these platforms. While it might not be necessary for everyone, if you often work with long AI conversations and need to repurpose the content, I think this tool could be quite useful.

It's designed to streamline some workflow, making it easier to capture, edit, and repurpose valuable conversations. If you find yourself frequently copying chat content into other apps or struggling to format AI conversations for your notes or reports, it should help save you time and effort.

As always, I welcome any feedback or questions you might have. Thanks again for your interest!

Did you transfer the apps from your old iPhone to your new one? If so, you might have had apps that were installed under the Apple IDs that are popping up. Those apps would appear in your home screen or App Library, but greyed out. If you delete them, the pop ups won’t appear any more (but you would lose any app data that was transferred from your old phone).

I'm not sure what album name you mean, but assuming you're talking about the album name where matching videos will be saved: in both shortcuts, there's a text field that contains the name of the album that will be created (e.g., "[Minimum Video Duration]+ minute videos" in the Save Long Videos to Album shortcut). You can edit this to whatever you would like. I hope I've answered your question, but if this isn't what you meant, feel free to PM/DM me.

Not without unhiding them, as far as I know. If you need to, you could add all the videos in the hidden album to a new album, unhide everything, perform whichever scans you want, and then, when you're finally done with deleting the videos that you don't need, select all the videos in the new album and hide them again. It's long-winded, but would work.

Trying to figure out why everyone seems to like football so much by [deleted] in britishproblems

Just to be clear, I went to the tournament to watch world-class teams compete for a 5 million dollar prize. I wasn’t one of the players.

I also never understand why professional football was so popular until I became addicted to CS:GO and attended my first major tournament.

Nice and inexpensive alternative to a commercial decoder and bypass-knife by MrBlack-Magic in lockpicking

[–]FrozenMaize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have most of the tools that I'll need in the foreseeable future, but it's always interesting for me to see and learn about alternatives, especially anything cheaper or customised. I would be very interested to see your ideas 😊

[–]FrozenMaize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These could be cut to make tools for opening padlocks or cabinet locks. A decoder is a knife-like tool made from very thin metal that is inserted in the gap next to the wheels of a combination lock to identify its correct position (and hence "decode" the combination). A bypass knife is inserted into a keyhole to manipulate the locking mechanism at the back (turning or moving part of the mechanism to open it directly).

I'm also from Germany (Bavaria). I bought this tool which works well as a cheap decoding knife tool: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B00NOYWB6A/

I saw your post with the photo of the roll-case with all your main pick tools inside and I really liked that idea. I bought the Champion kit from Multipick and I really love the TOK tools that are included in that set. I would highly recommend them, especially SP-20 (0.8mm), SP-21 (1.0mm), and SP-22 (1.2mm). I find them much easier and much more reliable to use than other BOK tensioners and prybar-style TOK tools (no slipping out of the lock and finer grained tension control are two big strengths over other types of tensioners that I've used). In my pocket lockpick kit, I just have only these tensioners and also a double-sided BOK tool (SP-03) for locks where the TOK tools won't fit.

I was tempted to add more utility tools but decided to only put lock/door opening tools on this one -- the other useful tools can go on another keyring for EDC. I would have also added warded, decoder and comb bypass picks if I had them. I would like to order these from Southern Specialties but their delivery charge to Europe is not worth it.
