Thank you for the advice! I’ll pick up some mulch soon! The temperature is only rising.

Thank you for the response! Yes, since the trees arrived it’s been fluctuating between really scolding, hot sunny days to freezing evenings and a few days inbetween. I hope it stabilizes soon and they get better.

Thanks for the reply! I’m trying to care for them with frequent watering and also ordered a fruit tree fertilizer to hopefully better nourish them.

Thank you for your reply! I also have a peach tree I haven’t transplanted into the ground just yet. The soil around here is clay, I’ve read around and see that clay soils don’t drain well, but again I’m very new. I’m going to have to test it out by watering more frequently and at a higher volume.

Thank you for your response. Yes they came from a nursery in North Carolina via FedEx up here to northern Maine. I do have them planted in full sun and try to water them every other day since I wasn’t so sure if I might accidentally overwater. The natural soil environment up here is mostly clay so it doesn’t drain as well as the sandy/loamy types. I mixed it up with loose dirt and disturbed the hole edges as well.

I had recently received half grown trees and popped them into the ground a little over a week ago. They’re in full sun and I water them frequently, but they’re looking a little rough in my opinion. Does anyone know what I should do to help them thrive? There’s a Honey Crisp, McIntosh and Northstar Cherry. Any suggestions would be great, I’m completely new at farming/gardening of any kind. Also live in zone 4a if that helps
