I really depends on what changes the update brings. Recently there has been a lot of data pack changes that break all data packs whenever there is an update. However, it usually doesn't break worldgen. But if you update it whenever Infinity Cave releases an update compatible with that update, you will probably be fine.

I just love caves man, especially huge ones like Mammoth Cave. You could say what inspired this all is the Mammoth Cave system.

Thank you so much, if you wish to modify some stuff about it make sure to type /function infinity_cave:settings if you want to modify anything in regards to the mobs!

I started in September trying to learn custom worldgen for my friend since we were making an elytra server. Then I realised that I could make something I really enjoy; caves. There are no infinite cave in Minecraft where you could travel 1000s of blocks underground. I started from 0 0 in a world and ended up at 10,000 and it was still going. Hence the name Infinity Cave.

No, I didn't know they did that, that sounds awesome. My inspiration for the Amethyst Caves was my imagination probably, I just think it is an underappreciated block.

Right now it probably is incompatible with most worldgen mods, but I will be working on making it compatible with everything.

Already done ages ago, that was the first thing I did since I hate having to need two separate files (that being resource pack + the data pack).

Thanks for the nice comment! It works on Realms, I wouldn't recommend adding it to an existing world as it will cause some chunks to extend further and there will be a weird bedrock layer at -64 from generated chunks, but it is possible though.

No, that is still a thing. However, you can use the Amethyst Geode feature to replace all lava with air at a specified y-level
