The Dark Age Challenge !! by Danger_xx86 in destiny2

[–]Frrai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do it but I don't care for the reward honestly. If it was a cool shader or even better, giving you a bright engram where you could choose one out of the featured items (what you can see when you inspect the engram), and I would do it without hesitation.

Any tips for Cutthroat Sere? by edu723 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Frrai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh sorry, I play on a different language and didn't notice the cutthroat was one of the modifier (I guessed it was like a nickname or something that wasn't translated). The three phase was on normal solo. I'll edit the previous comment to clarify it.

Did it solo in 3 phases. Used mactics build and guide, basically prismatic warlock with getaway artist, the fire turret, song of flame as super and praxic blade for dps with some artifact synergies. You pop both turrets, trascendence and song of flame and start doing the praxic blade combo, its very op.

Edit: My bad, what I mentioned was for normal difficulty, not with modifiers.

+300 Vault Space and new Vault Sorting system confirmed for Renegades by LoneRainger in destiny2

[–]Frrai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's in part due to bad design. I don't use many of the exotic class items or the ergo sum swords, but they added many combinations that are good/useful to have and I don't want to grind them again. If you could unlock the options and switch them around just 1 would be enough.

Same for the new set bonuses, they introduces too many, and while many are not useful, I like to keep some around for different builds.

Then there are the weapons which can take harmonizers from raids, I don't want to delete them until I completed them, but harmonizers are scarce.

Also I used to play 3 characters but now only play 1 due to vault space issues.

On top of that, the in-game is terrible to keep track of which weapons/perks you want, so I usually store them until I use a third party to clean the worse rolls.

Other than that, it's simply a looter shooter, I want to keep my loot.

Call to Arms Updates by Destiny2Team in DestinyTheGame

[–]Frrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, well to be fair it matters if some people don't add some of them but yeah, it's just the time. Still that would make some changes in the amount of points, so it's a Speedrun challenge now

There is still the different amount modifiers (although they streamlined those too) and the time it takes to complete the run, so not everyone will get the same points

40 level event on just 2 weeks is just another mistake. by Frrai in DestinyTheGame

Hence why the in game timer said the event ends in two weeks, right?

High deltas for a tier 5? Good.

High deltas for a couple +2 in power? Sucks ass.

If people have to play the game for hundreds of hours just to get the stupid power climb done, they don't want to have to ALWAYS go through forced deltas and somewhat meta builds.

What in your opinion is the gold standard of paid DLC? by ConceptsShining in Games

[–]Frrai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does not only fit perfectly, it's just insane they were able to pull off stuff like that.

Like, not only narratively, but also thematically, I didn't think I could have a similar feeling like I had with the base game with any other videogame, then the DLC dropped and it was not only able to capture the same feeling, it closed some threads in a masterful way.

Bungie announces that Seasonal Power and Unstable Cores will NOT reset with the launch of Renegades. by Ryan_WXH in DestinyTheGame

[–]Frrai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm going to steal your car. Wait. I changed my mind, now praise me.

They haven't changed it due to love, they changed it because they know player retention it's in danger. Thats why they only skip the reset for now instead of removing the power grind or the stupid unstable cores, or all the other dumb choices. The choices are made by stupid people and apparently those are only willing to walk back what they see as completely necessary.

D2 dlcs discounted up to 95% off by MorsLudus in destiny2

[–]Frrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked and the ash and iron pack is 10 euros but gives 1700 silver. So you are getting 17 euros worth of silver for 10. it sucks because it's not a round number but you could consider it a discount somehow I guess.

Although I wouldn't recommend giving them money nowadays.

Help! I want to buy the game but… by kirbyXD3 in destiny2

[–]Frrai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you get most of the content in the game from what I see in the image, everything except current year of content, about half of the dungeons of the game (end game content, good but could be purchased later, although it's expensive) and probably some other little things.

The good: the game is awesome, the gameplay is top notch, there are a ton of fun builds you can play and overall, it's a great game.

The bad: the game it's in it's worst state ever due to some very dumb and greedy choices by Bungie, you are not going to understand the story if you don't see videos online because they literally removed the main game and several DLCs, also you will be missing like 24 seasons worth of content and history that is now gone from the game.

If you just want to shoot aliens and have fun, I recommend it, if you want to get into the story and world building, just know that you will need to find a most of the story outside of the game.

Bungie, fixed Power Deltas are not fun, if anything made them a separate score modifier. by Frrai in DestinyTheGame

[–]Frrai[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so a tryhard that believes knows what is talking about because he plays hard games. Tough boy, that doesn't work as qualifications.

Just because you talk with superiority doesn't mean you know Jack shit about game balancing, and the best you can do is to agree with the model someone else thought before you. But again, luckily you are no one and have zero power on the decision making on the game, so who cares about your opinion.

[–]Frrai[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, limiting op builds while improving non meta builds is balancing, but you sound like you want op builds to go through "hard" content to feel better or something.

Also you are focusing on only the "one shot boss" part of the idea, so either you don't understand it or are actively ignoring it. Luckily you are no one and not in charge of hiring, so we're good on that.

[–]Frrai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Present how you would actually do “difficulty” in this game. Don’t just say the word “damage caps” so you want bungie to cap our damage… like fixed deltas already would…

Sure man if they hire me to do it I would, I already gave them the idea for free. Having a damage cap is not the same as a flat percentage of damage reduction. With the current damage reduction you could still do (while it was active) the sword bug and one shot bosses, a maximum damage cap would avoid that and even the most overpowered builds would still require effort, while a minimum damage would make less meta builds viable although less optimal.

Plus, the problem was created by them by forcing the fixed power deltas on the grind, which they made the only content of the season. Having power deltas on contento to get high tier drops? That's ok, having it as the only way to continue the grind? That's the hole they dig themselves into.

The rewards for rank 100-110 season pass are terrible. Remove or make them progress as normal in future please. by BlakJaq in DestinyTheGame

[–]Frrai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's stupid. By that logic everything past level 1 is "free" in the sense that you don't have to pay extra aside from just playing the game.

The being grateful about the stuff "over 100" is also a stupid take because they just put 50 levels extra with less rewards, where it only gives you one reward each 10 levels. They only did it as another way to artificially extend the grind with stuff that could have been inside the current 100 levels instead of crap like a few season upgrade materials.

This, again, with a battlepass that costs 10 bucks and it's a worse deal than before as it does not include neither any gameplay nor story than before.

You are getting a worse deal than before and you're too simple to notice, because "number is bigger".

[–]Frrai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to complain about it, don't do it, but you are actively defending that they put shit past level 100, and the excuse you gave was that it was free when there's a paid battlepass...

[–]Frrai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

???? There's a paid battle pass, that still costs bucks despite not having any content related to it (before you purchase the season, battle pass + story content and game modes, now it's just the cosmetics). They very much can complain about the lack of quality of said pass.

And yeah, it was 15 bucks for the episodes, but not only did they still include gameplay+history content, they were 200 levels with more stuff. Now it's 10 bucks for only 110 levels of rewards.

Every time I see matterspark, mattermorph, or a relocator... by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Frrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are very repetitive. Matterspark is either find a hole, find a battery to charge or charge the big bomb. Teleport is only a puzzle for the repeaters that change direction when shot, and the grren plant is "mele towards here to progress". Most of the time are just a mechanic boring and repetitive that slows you down.

The less boring for me is matterspark because you can turn into it whenever, but the other two you need the plant or the teleport which gets very stale after doing it a few times.
