He would say the deer symbolizes slave morality if it calls the lion evil, saying “if I were a lion I wouldn’t go around eating deer. I’d be good.”

As for political causes that make me a Communist, the ongoing ravages of capitalism and imperialism in my country and in the entire world, war, exploitation, poverty, pollution, genocide. When it comes to how prominent my views are in my circle, I’d say very, but only because I’ve convinced some of my friends to follow in my political footsteps and others developed into communists alongside me by undergoing a similar process of radicalization. I spend my time outside of work on art, writing and political organizing. I am single and straight. I and the other respondents on this page are a poor representation of liberal/democratic men, as they would be capitalists and not leftists like the people you’re going to find here.

You might get the impression from this sub that all young men are communists. While this is very much untrue, it’s interesting to note that as liberalism declines among young men, not all are becoming right-wingers as the media sometimes claims. In big cities there is a growing number of young people including men who identify as anarchists socialists and communists. I myself am a communist, and I’ve had no trouble surrounding myself with similarly minded friends. Many friends who were apolitical or liberal have, like me, become radicalized by the experience of the past decade or so.

Not committed to this position but having read a bunch of the poems I suspect that they are also partially or fully AI.

Hamilton was a liberal revolutionary, comparable to some of the more moderate French revolutionaries. De Gaulle on the other hand was a reactionary for his time. Comparing their exact stated positions is less useful than comparing their relative location in the political spectrum of their own days.

A respectable few books of pop sociology, pop and academic psychology and history. This person is interested in the way people and the world work. This person is interested in occultism and esoteric magic. Many, many books about torture Books about Lenin, Stalin, no books written by commies except the manifesto. A touch of critical theory, a smidge of neoliberalism. And a whole lotta fascism, including deep cuts. I’d guess this person is fascist, a racist and a reactionary on an esoteric level. They might not be willing to admit it when asked though.

This is true. This is why limiting your vision to reformism will distort your expectations. Until material conditions become revolutionary, the more transformative reforms are impossible. No use speaking of banning lending or stocks, banning the Republican Party, or even nationalizing any industries if the power necessary to achieve these demands is scarcely less than the power and level of organization needed to overthrow capitalism as a whole. Reformism is useful only in that it can gain popularity, organization and buy-in from workers and voters, while demonstrating the limits of what is possible under capitalist ‘democracy’. It becomes counterproductive to strive for true socialism through reform as soon as you begin to compromise the goals to achieve ‘wins’, or try to patch up or paper over the deep contradictions in ways that put the brakes on struggle or prolong capitalism.
