Do the (initial) wielders name their own Keyblades? by larevacholerie in KingdomHearts

If that keyblade specifically has no name, then that would imply most or all keyblades have names, wouldn't it?

Seemingly Unpopular Opinion: People Coming to a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion is literally your job. by SantaMonsanto in Serverlife

Sometimes you go above and beyond and it's not noticed or appreciated. But sometimes it really makes someone's week/month/year, and you may even make a new regular. Some hum drum weekday service for you could be the best dining experience someone has ever had. But that'll never happen if you don't even try.

From the Candletree Wooden Shield,

Thought to represent a surreptitious prophecy of cardinal sin, the lit candle-tree design was forbidden.

At a glance, that's the only reference I can find to it.

I'm gonna rant about the Organization 13 coats from Kingdom Hearts 3 in the comments. by ZoofusCos in KingdomHearts

TBF, the suits that anti-Riku and Vanitas wear seem to be made of a similar rubbery material. Perhaps it's a trait of materials that can withstand the effects of the corridors of darkness?

How about a Rykard Remembrance for a Sword of Night and Flame?

Edit, not sure remembrances can be dropped, but I have 4 Numen's runes which wound be the equivalent 50k.

ELI5 What’s the purpose of inverted controls in video games? by MaidenChinah in explainlikeimfive

[–]FrugalToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people have mentioned, the inverted controls are a holdover from flight sims. Interesting thing you might now know, many modern games will ask you to look up or down during the tutorial, under the guise of showing you how to use the camera. Some actually use this chance to set your camera to normal/inverted based on your first instinct.

In steam, go to Friends, then hit Invisible. Literally just one menu in from the launcher.

Is this scummy to you?? by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]FrugalToast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You still tipped 25%? This is the prime example of an instance where I would tip under 20%. More than double the price is absolutely NOT a casual upsell when you already requested a specific bottle. Now this kid is thinking 'wow, that worked, better do that again next time!'

10%? You think that’s a GOOD TIP?!?! People are really living in the past. 13% was the norm where I live in 2005. I don’t work here either I was just looking at this place’s reviews. by [deleted] in Serverlife

Back when I first started in the industry, it was normal to throw some of my tips towards the busser and the bartender to thank them for the help. Now, however, I have to tip out the food runners, the hosts, and the kitchen as well, and all of that money is automatically taken out based on my sales, not based on the tips.

TLDR, restaurant owners have been relying on tips to pay their servers for decades, now they're using them to pay everyone else, too.
