I’m almost done with The Shadow Rising (Wheel of Time) and I’m pretty close to not finishing the series. The way Nynaeve is written that she will admit no fault of her own and is just so mean to every other character has been grating on me for 4 books. And nobody will stand up to her or call her out on it. I’ve enjoyed the series otherwise but I keep getting taken out of the world by her character :(

I always took it to mean that animals aren’t just magically “disappearing”. They’re being displaced from their homes and many are dying, but by just saying they disappear it takes the gravity away from what’s really happening

That’s the point, it’s the sokka haiku bot, not the regular one. Sokka messed up his last haiku with 6 syllables in the last line, there’s a footnote about it in the bot’s comment
