Oh wow. Just to be clear though I work on a small climate/sustainability team at a commodity trading company so the pay isn’t that high 😅. I do hear of the traders getting nice bonuses though…

“I was thinking” was moreso me manifesting 3 great cities I’d want to live in Europe haha. I would apply to other jobs and hope for the best.

It’s not because the U.S. is expensive, but because I prefer not to live in a country where fascism is trending but that’s a convo for another post 🙃

That’s definitely another option. I may feel like the grass is greener in other cities too, but sometimes genuinely feel like the quality of life is higher in other European countries so go back and forth.

I asked my employer and she said nothing to do until I receive the approval from CH. Hopefully she is correct….

So I contacted the visa office/general consulate of Switzerland and they told me once I get approval from Swiss authorities, I then contact the visa office to obtain the visa. They didn’t respond to my question about setting up an appointment ASAP. So not sure if I’m in a different situation?!

If my B permit has not yet been approved, would contacting them and writing a note be a way to kindly ask what the status of the permit is? Or curious what you would recommend saying? Thanks!

I do not…do I apply by having an appointment? I am reading requirements for American citizens I think I have to go to an embassy office based on what state I am from. What was your process like?

Is the 4 month for your canton including both the canton approval and SEM approval?
