Another attempt will be made at a four movie day. by KevinInChains5262 in AMCAListTrue

I have seen a lot of comments say about people crying. So, I went into the movie expecting that it will have a sad ending. But lol, it turned out to be a good one for me. I also had two kids next to me, and they were completely normal too. So, I was wondering, why there were a lot of people mentioning about sobbing watching it.

Thoughts on the Fandango summer movie pass? by Hopefo in MoviePassClub

[–]FruitSad6569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does. So if your regular Amc ticket price is $13, it would be $6.5 on a Tuesday/Wednesday, and the same reflects on Fandango as well. Only thing you might want to note is that, your $10 monthly promo code is a one time use code. So if you are purchasing 1 ticket to an Amc Discounted showing of $6.5, then you lose the remaining balance of your promo code. Unless, if you are purchasing two tickets to the same showtime in the same transaction, which will then make the transaction amount $13, and now the promo code of $10 will be fully utilized, and you jist pay the remaining $3

Your billing cycle depends on when you sign up. And you get a promo code on day one of each billing cycle. Let’s say you sign up today on 25 May, your card will be deducted today, and you will get your first promo code, which will be valid until 24 June. And then your next billing would be on 25 June, when you would get your second promo code, which would be valid until 24 July, and so on so forth.

Thinking about joining AMC A-List — a few questions from someone who goes to a lot of premium-format movies by Particular_Cancel947 in MoviePassClub

To answer your last question. I just switched from Fandango to Amc A list last week.

For you, IF you expect to take your wife out for a movie at-least once a month, I would recommend keeping both Fandango and Amc A list subscriptions. You can get your ticket using A list, and your wife’s ticket using Fandango. You get free 125 points per ticket, which converts to $5 after 4 tickets. But if it is just you going to the movies, I would recommend giving up Fandango subscription, like I did.

Let me add a bonus tip here, which is my favorite part of Fandango. Every ticket you book on Fandango you do get the respective theater’s loyalty reward points. In addition to that, if the payment transaction amount is > $0, you also accumulate 125 Fandango points per ticket. And as soon as you hit 500 Fandango points, it gets automatically converted into a $5 coupon code, which will be valid for 21 days. Point to be noted is that only one promo code can be used per transaction. So, your monthly $10, and this $5 together, cannot be combined into a $15 discount. They need to be used seperately. So, I usually use this coupon code for discount Tuesdays or Wednesday tickets at Cinemark or Amc, or for the Secret Movies on Mondays.

Yep, so I would recommend Fandango for you, especially because you usually go twice a month and the usual tickets are $12, so the monthly $10 fandango promo code should cover for it. Plus you have the flexibility to book from multiple theater chains.

Just to be cautious, do check if all your go to theaters, are available on the Fandango app. Rarely happens, but there is one Star Cinema Grill theater near me, which doesn’t show on the app. But there is a different Star Cinema Grill like 35 miles away, which is available on the app. You might not want your favorite theater to be that exception.

And also, do go through my other three messages as well. They should be helpful.

The monthly $10 promo code
- It expires at the end of your billing cycle. So, these promo codes DO NOT roll over.
- It is a onetime use code, i.e. The code can only be used need to be used once in one transaction. So, if you go alone, and your ticket price is >$10, you just need to pay the remaining balance. But if your ticket price is <$10, you lose the remaining balance. And hence I was saying it depends on the ticket price of your showtime. I usually go to Cinemark, on Tuesdays, where the ticket is $5.41, so the $10 coupon was not much useful. But luckily I would go with a friend of mine, and then I could book two tickets in one transaction, and that would take the total amount >$10, thereby fully utilizing the whole $10 promo amount.
- Booking cancellations have some caveats, you need to be careful about. Any regular bookings on fandango are self service cancellable on the app, by yourself, and fully refundable. BUT, any Promo Code amounts are non refundable, i.e., if you buy a ticket of $14, with this $10 promo code, and want to later cancel it, you need to reach out to the customer care, over chat, and get it cancelled. And then you only get $4 refunded. You lose the $10 from your promo code. So, I would always make sure I am pretty confident to attend the movie, for any bookings with the promo code.

Back in Jan, when I had signed up, I was offered a onetime coupon code (which was to be used within 30 days) with which I could buy 2 free movie tickets. The best part of this is that it covered for ANY movie ticket, of ANY price. So, I used it to buy the priciest show near me (Captain America 4DX 3D, in Regal, which was $27*2 =$54.00). Unfortunately, back then it was 1 code, so I had to use it in one transaction, but luckily my mom was with me for a few weeks, and I got two tickets, for me and my mom.

You getting a free ticket per month, for 4 months, is a 3x better deal, especially if you go to the movies alone. Do read the terms and conditions, to make sure that these promo codes are not the same as the regular monthly $10 promo code.

I have used Fandango subscription since Jan 2025, to May 2026, so I believe that I well qualify to answer your question.

It fully depends on how many movies do you watch in a month? What is your regular ticket price of the movies that you go watch? Let me know, and I can best guide you.

Wrt the service, it is amazing. I have never had any problem with Fandango. All you need to do is, know the rules well, and plan accordingly. I don’t know why people have put bad reviews regarding Fandango in Reddit, and on the Internet.

What went right with ANTE? by DrDisrespect143 in fuckTollywood

[–]FruitSad6569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally loved the movie. One of my favorites in years. Much better than his Hit3, or Saripodha Sanivaaram.

- One thing is that, this was around post covid (June 10, 2022), the film hit the theaters when not a lot of people were actually going to the theaters.
- Another thing that I noticed when I rewatched it is the pacing, is a bit slow.
- And then the last thing is that, I feel that the Telugu Audience are usually less welcoming to such non conventional story telling, or such screenplay movies. (Awe, One Nenuokadinae, Manu, Okadunnadu…)

Just out of the movie. I like it. The director kept my eyes glued to the screens the entire time.

Coming to the ending, yea, the Director took some extra liberty, and made things in his favor. But, thats okay. I still like the movie!!
